Dzeko for me.

However, I thought this was Silva's best performance of the season so far for linking up to an attacking setup that the team had already created.

I put my vote in for Joe Hart - not because I thought he was better than Dzeko or Silva but because he achived a level that I personally doubted he would achieve again . . he was absolutely solid at the back which gave the defence the confidence to push up which inspired the midfield and fed the attack . . etc. And it was our 5th clean sheet on the trot.
If we had De Gea and the rags had Hart, we'd be top with a 9 point lead and they'd be in 12th place - that's the difference between a 'good' keeper and a 'top class' keeper - 12 places - think about it.

Silva.

No matter how big the game is, he always looks like the ball can't be taken from him.

Sensational player and every bit as good as iniesta or xavi imo

Apparently our best top flight run for 99 years. Fair point regarding Hart. Didn't look like conceding tonight and there haven't been many instances of that this season

Ah I wondered who it was that had voted for Joe when I cast my vote - for Edin incidentally.

Firstly Edin took his game up a notch tonight, he won just about everything in the air from the very first whistle. His goal seemed to set the tone for him for the remainder of the time he was on the pitch, he was top notch in pretty much everything he did, two quality goals to boot.

There are plenty of others worthy of a mention of course such as ferna, silva, demi etc etc. But whilst I wouldn't make Joe mom, he was always going to be worthy of a mention for me simply because everything and I mean everything he did was absolutely spot on. He commanded his area perfectly, his distribution was good, his decision making was good, everything asked of him was spot on. Victor Valdes? Not gonna replace our Joe that for sure.

Maybe the sun report of Madrid going after him made Joe want to fight to stay at City :-)..... thanks The Sun :-)

Silva is the greatest player City have ever had. (Sorry Dad he's better than Colin The King)

Silva was untouchable tonight. Thought Joe, Demi, Fern, Nasri and Edin all performed very well

Yeah Demi was very good again yet he did manage to throw in a couple of his now trade mark stray passes. He always seems to give me a scare at least once every match.

No contest for me - SIlva.
What a transformation from the player that had great passing but kept getting caught in possession or didn't have the stamina and always got taken off after 70 minutes.

Somebody, somewhere, has finally realised that he is a 90 minute player - and what a player!

When the fuck was he that player?! ^^

He's always been one of our best and most consistent players. He was poor like everyone last season, but the title winning season in particular he was absolutely exceptional and even better than he is now arguably.

Spot on - couldn't have put it better myself. Every single one of them had a great game tonight but Silva is just magic. We are very lucky to have a player of such ability and for me the best player I have ever seen in a city shirt. Yaya ran him a close second tonight - another player who raises his game on the big occasion

I voted for Silva. His performance was simply brilliant - involved in all of our attacking play, pinpoint passing, excellent ball control, retained possession well and did his defensive duties well too. His step-over for the first goal was sublime. He's hitting top form at the right time and is going to be crucial to our push for the title.

But Silva closely followed by:
- Fernandinho: superb all-round performance yet again
- Hart: looked very composed and dealt with everything that came at him
- Dzeko: worked tirelessly up front and didn't allowed the United defenders a moment's rest. Seems to be thriving in his current lead role.

Everyone played well though - caught fault anyone. Even Demichelis was solid!

the back 5 was spectacular as well

I went for nasri too, his work rate in midfield was incredible, as was his distribution. Slightly surprised to see Merlin getting this by a landslide, as I thought Nasri was every bit as good, and arguably more effective with the ball going forwards when it counted.

Lots of options for this one. I'll take Dzeko as he won the game, but wouldn't argue against yaya, silva, Nasri or anyone really.

Fabulous team performance again and in reality we only ever needed to get into top gear for the first 10 minutes of the game as it is plain to see this is the worst rag team in a long long time , happy days indeed they are shite ! David Silva showed us all yet again what a world class footballer he is , an absolute master class from him .
Not really here
