Wouldn't say he was over-employed mate. Isn't it more to do with the team? The best goalie ever wouldn't help much at West Ham for example.

Hopefully you get a bite today. Might be difficult with every City fan being in great form though :)

We're on course to equal the 17 clean sheets we kept in the title winning season. Who'd have thunk it given the issues Hart had earlier in the season and the fact that we've only had a settled back four for half of our league games.

He helped keep Birmingham in the premier league

I always find it a shame that you very rarely get to see the best goalkeepers at the very top of their game, as they generally play behind a great defence and don't get tested much.

He picked out Silva with a nice accurate kick last night.

Still hit too many long balls when he didn't need to though. If he gets replaced, that will be the reason behind the management's thinking.

even i will admit he had a good game.

couple of decent saves and his KICKING improved. a few short balls/rolls, but still lumped a few out of play/to a helpless dzeko.

Even my lad who's ten picked up on that. First piece of good distribution he's done for months. If he can't do it then we need to get the ball out from the back quicker.and forward at speed.

Still he his a class keeper and he's our class keeper.

Twice. There was the one he kicked flat and at pace and then the longer one where Silva showed a sublime touch to bring it under control. He was quick to roll the ball out on occasion too and has been recently. He's definitely improving in this regard.

And in the same game, he aimed for Dzeko and the ball went out. He definitely needs to improve on this.

Did the cunts score from it.So all this shit distribution bollox is not really that important.
Being able to save and being in the right place is what's important for a goalie.

No, but why would you be okay with giving them the ball? Like it or not, but in order to score goals, we need the ball and if he fucks up kicking a ball outside giving them a throw in, he is better off passing the ball to Kompany, as opposed to whacking it to midfield.

To me it is not an issue, if whoever we are playing get a throw in in their own half, don't think we are in any danger and, Joe's shit kicking has never put us in any danger.
We have scored 133 goal this year so far so I don't think there is to much wrong with what we are doing.

It doesn't matter how we look at it. If the management decide they need better distribution from the keeper in order for their system to work, then Joe is on dangerous ground.

We have already seen how Lescott is being discarded from the central defence for the same reason.

Hart has improved substantially since he was dropped and is a pivotal cog in our defensive system, marshaling the defence and developing play - this is where he needs to improve for me.

His general play of late has been very good and you can see that confidence begin to come back. Some of his saves of late have been excellent and that one last night from Welbeck was real instinct.

I'm happy with him, it's a keep for me.

F'@@k me Beefy, I had forgotten about that save, it was absolutely top drawer lightening reflex save and had they of scored from it, the game would have changed dramatically. Again well done Joe
