Victor Valdes

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Valdes is the kind of keeper that Joe might have become one day if his development hadn't stopped some time ago.
I love Joe to little mint-balls but if we're serious about being serious then we need a serious keeper and not one with severe limitations and a tendency towards comedy capers.
If we had De Gea and the rags had Hart, we'd be top with a 9 point lead and they'd be in 12th place - that's the difference between a 'good' keeper and a 'top class' keeper - 12 places - think about it.

Fancier name than Joe Hart but inferior keeper who is rarely tested! We don't need a keeper! Joe is more than good enough to take us to the top!

I'd be more concerned about Joes command of his area. He remains rooted to his line far too often for my liking. Valdes wouldn't be an improvement though.

Not gonna happen now. Injured tonight and the talk is cruciate ligaments and six months out. Have we dodged a bullet there?

Oh that ok then, I guess they'll still sign him injured and then wait for him to get better to play for them a few months into the season ...

And Hart has a better clean sheet rate than both with 1 every 2.2 games in the league.

( not that clean sheets are the sole responsibility of keepers )
