I'm basing it on the Fulham game too, not just the 5 mins at Arsenal.

Yep, I agreed with you previously on this, he has gone off the boil since West Ham but that's just a handful of games ( 6 starts ) and doesn't warrant comments like he's gone from the best signing of the season to the worst, that's just absurd.

I agree completely.

He took a knock (literally) and he's coming back from that. That next goal and we'll have four top strikers for the first time this season, fighting for two places.

Just at the right time!

Surely Benteke has to be up there with the worst (re)signings. They gave him big money and he's done nothing this season and just tore his Achilles which means he will miss part of next season

Sometimes we just don't learn at all. Negredo has now been written off by some. Bizarre, because a full season lasts.... eh... a full season and he will should be judged at the end of his second one IMO.

Wilfried Bony has something like 15 goals in 23 games. He doesn't belong on the bad list !

Who said he was shit? I was saying he was decent.

Only about a week ago i read an article on sky sports.A vote had been cast amongst the 20 premier league managers and that Negredo had been chosen as signing of the season.

He was right up there for the majority of the season but Fernandinho is the stand out performer for me.World class player I'm really hoping he gets his chance to shine at the World Cup this summer.

Plenty of others have looked quality.Lukaka has been great and Matic looking a key player for Chelsea already.

The biggest flops is a tough one but I'm going for Fellaini who just edges out Ricky Van Wolfswinkel.Pair of donkeys.

Spurs must be sorely disappointed with the showings from Lamela and Soldado.

I wouldn't go as far as saying he's one of the worst but I don't think Ozil has been up to much.So many games where he has gone missing completely.

You can watch a player and see aspects of his game changing. I saw that Negredo started to look less potent before his injury. I was discussing this before the West Ham game and he went and smashed in a superb hatrick. In my opinion the signs were there before Christmas.
Players often take more than a season to realise their true value and so I doubt many are writing him off.
But, it is possible that his early season form was atypical. It could be, as often happens, Prem defenders and managers have had a look at him now and worked him out. It could simply be that shoulder injury (although I am not convinced). It may easily be some off the pitch problem is troubling him, or even just a loss of confidence. But right now, he doesn't look like a good option just at the time we could do with him.
I aint holding my breath for a change in fortunes before the end of the season. He looks clumsy and disinterested right now.

I do agree he looked less potent before that shoulder injury, around the time of the Palace game at home he looked jaded however at the turn of the year he started to look reinvigorated until that injury and hasn't looked the same since. Did you see the Fulham game Piccs? Did you think he looked clumsy and disinterested in that one?

He has grown on me, I must say I have not seen a player with such fantastic upper body strength on the ball for some time. He is very difficult to get the ball off when he is up for it.

Lovren should absolutely be in the conversation for best, at least best for under 20m. he's been key for them this season.

re: the vote with negredo as signing of the season, i wonder when that vote actually took place. i would say most city supporters would vote fernandinho as the team's signing of the season.
