Ahh the dilemmas of modern footy.

He'll have no prob with it. A guy 2 rows in front of me has one and his kid watches Disney films on it during the game. During the Pearce era Id have probably considered doing the same.

During the Alan Ball era and aftermath we would all have paid to watch his Disney films instead of the match.

This is in no way a dig at the OP, but I hate it when I see people sat on their phones whilst the game is on.

I can understand kids who get bored, my daughter is the same, hence the reason I rarely take her.

But I see adults who spend £40/£50 to sit on the phone. There is a lad in the south stand who literally spends the entire match texting people
"If we fire our manager after just one bad season - We'll become Chelsea"
"If we think we can fix the problem by buying expensive players - We'll become City"
"If we remember the good times to entertain us during the bad times - We'll become Liverpool"

So, keep calm and do it the United way

"We invest in young players, That is what we are good at — we’re not like other clubs who can spend fortunes on proven goods. We know that Manchester City are going to pay stupid money, pay silly salaries and all that. We can’t do anything about it. We concentrate on what we can do to try to bring players in for the right reasons. We invest in those who will be with the club for a long time, who will create the character of the club, who will create excitement for our fans. We are very proud of that and we are going to continue that way" - Alex Ferguson 14th May 2012

You're showing your age - young people can text without taking their eyes off the match.

I can guarantee you our head management would be much happier with 45 thousand people sitting on their phones sharing their match day experiences on social media than 45 thousand people singing and creating an atmosphere.

that's complete bullshit...i "get" your point, but i doubt that's the case at all. Unless you actually know our "head management" then i don't think your guarantee is worth much.
