I can actually see Liverpool completely bottling it now and drop more points.

If we win Everton away I think we will win it.

At the risk of seeming disloyal, has anyone seen the odds. Chelsea are 16/1 on skybet to win it.

The amazing thing is that we might even be able to afford a draw or even a defeat in our last three games. Today was Chelsea's biggest end of season match, so they were well up for it, and Liverpool could go into a nosedive.

Hoping for an arsenal win tomorrow, will put them 4 points clear of everton with 2 games to go, pity we play everton before arsenal play next weekend as they will still have something to play for.

Also, hoping villa beat hull next weekend so that should ensure they are safe from relegation.

It'll be tough at Goodison, but no tougher than any other away game. we can and will win now with Sergio back improving over the last 2 games and Yaya fighting to win. The closer we get to the last game the harder we will be trying, I believe.

An Arsenal win tomorrow would be fantastic - would all but clinch 4th place for them, and hopefully demoralise Everton.

Next week will be a tough game for us regardless of who lines up for Everton, but if we can go there and win - before Liverpool play - then the pressure will be fully on Liverpool. We've already seen today how they react to a pressurised situation (for the first time this season) and Palace away on Monday night will be a very difficult situation for them to deal with.

Its a shame we're playing first. Could see the scousers slipping up if they played first. Its hilarious that the dippers will have to shout for their bitter rivals.

On the contrary, I think it's a good thing Liverpool are playing last. They could be 3rd by the time their match starts...

...and we could be top by Saturday evening! :-)

Much better we play first and win. Points in the bag etc. The dippers could be third by Monday night and an away game when you have to win brings its own pressure.

Who's feeling the pressure now, Brendan. By the way, the weekend has been 'outstanding'!

Or we could've been going to Goodison only needing a point. Damn that Sunderland game.

Today was the first time this season I've seen genuine fight in our players. It was the first time where we've really been out of the running in the title race, but we fought back and produced a great performance.

Earlier in the season, when we've had the chance to break away, we blew it.

We go to Goodison next week 3rd in the league, and so have to win to overtake Liverpool and Chelsea. I think this will inspire our squad more than the earlier positions we've squandered.

With both Yaya and Sergio returning to full fitness (and being able to come off early today), and Everton suffering from injuries, we are in a good position to take advantage next weekend.

Buzzin about this weekends results but I don't know how people think Liverpool buckled at the first bit of pressure. If playing your main title rivals at home isn't pressure then I dunno what is... And they beat us.

Fully expect them to win their last two. The onus is on us now. NO EXCUSES

Throughout the season no one expected them to win the league. They weren't even expected to make the top 4.

After we dropped points against Sunderland, the league title became Liverpool's to lose. They had not been in that position this season.

I completely agree that playing Chelsea at home is a very difficult fixture, even if they rested some players. But once Liverpool's usual burst of energy in the first 20-25 minutes didn't work, the crowd became nervous and the players made plenty of mistakes, exemplified by Gerrard throughout the game. To me, they felt the pressure today, which is a great thing from our perspective.

They're most definitely capable of winning their final 2 games, and we undoubtedly need to win all 3 if we are to win the league, but if Liverpool were to stand up and show their title-winning credentials, then today was a great opportunity to do so and they didn't.

It's up to us to now take advantage.

We usually fare better at St James though and it wouldn't be the City way if we romped the last three games.

Our record at Goodison is what worries me but I think we are focussed. Newcastle were bang in form 2 years ago. Cisse was beyond dangerous. But we ground out a result then and I hope we do it next week.
