welcome to the board, I agree its been a topsy turvy season, great advert for Scudamore to go and sell rights in other countries for more money, well thats how he will see it.

I think there are more twists yet!!

Exactly. How fucking stupid do the dippers look at the moment with the way they've been behaving over the last few weeks. We've still got three tough games, even if we win today. Let's celebrate when it's mathematically certain.

I think a lot of people have got carried away with the excitement, some of us have our feet very much grounded though, to be in the Champions league is an immense achievement, look at how the season has gone so far, people think the title relies on the City Everton game.... not at all.. anything could happen! lets just kick back n watch the ride. :)

THIS 100%

The reason it was pressure v Chelsea & not v City is because v City they had the ' battling underdog' status with everything to win & nothing to lose. When they played Chelsea they could only lose.

They bottled it v City at 2-0, but Vinny handed them the game, just as they were about to cave in. Skrotal's injury time handball was another example of total panic & could have thrown away the title.

They are by no means certain to win their last 2 if we lose or draw at Everton. Chelsea will become a big problem. Look at Mourinho's reaction to their win. He knows it's a possibility Liverpool will shit it but no doubt hoped we would fuck it up at Palace.

We want to make sure we take at least a point from Goodison or Chelsea may well be champions.

"Vinny handed them the game" is a bit OTT. He handed them a chance and the lad took it brilliantly. You have to give them some credit even though the general point that they were wavering is true.

Ihate we must decide at Everton , but then again it's not Moyes Everton. If Southampton and Palace can beat them surely our team can. I see this like a Cup final and players must to.
You can't be a real country unless you have a beer and an airline. It helps if you have some kind of a football team, or some nuclear weapons, but at the very least you need a beer.

Yes Liverpool, and just 66, relates to nothing other than two sixes. :)

I have been giving them credit. I said if they win the remaining games that they absolutely deserve to win the league. But they haven't.

In that game, they were miles better than us to start with, feeding on the occasion. Then the pressure kicked in, we took over & were tearing them a new arsehole. The sullen tone of Martin Tyler's voice when Silva scored the first was a dead giveaway. Both he & Nev***e knew they were in deep shit & just seconds before Vinny handed them the game on a plate, Silva was half a toe away from directing Aguero's pass into an empty net to make it 3-2. A goal was coming.

Vinny's bizarre clearence allowed them to pack their own box & hit us on the break instead of us doing it to them. Even then they got away with the handball of the season in the final seconds.

They didn't deserve to win v City & were very very lucky.

Vinnie also lost his man for the corner. He's a legend but he had a bad day at the office, I think he was quite conscious of his knee

If the lads can not be up and motivated for this game then we all might as well pack up and go home. IMO they will be at it and our big time players like Yaya and Vinny will come to the fore. We were dead and buried after the Sunderland result but how football changes. Massive shot in the arm last weeks results and I cant see the lads passing up this final opportunity. Saturday will be tough but I think we will have just to much for them. Going to the game and expect the travel blues to take the roof off Goodison.

Like Heroin or what?
"I used to be 6 foot 2 with curly hair, look what it's done to me"

"In my career so far it's the most important goal. You score the goal in the last minute to win the title. You're not sure if that's ever going to happen in your career again. I wish I could tell you how I did it but I can't. I thought for all the world that Mario was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."

Anyone see the City v Gillingham highlights on Sky last night? That's set me up for Saturday. I forgot my utter feeling of dread when Richard Edghill stood up to take a penalty....

Didn't see it last night but I've seen it regularly enough over the years to recall that Edgy scoring brings a tear to the eye every time (and not just because he is one of two people who currently follow me on Twitter)
