But if we drop first and then expect them to do the same, that ain't happening ... so let's worry about his one first and then see what we can it cannot do against Villa later ...

Most people who coment on this site are fair and neutral about the subject ''Manager of the year'. Like him or not, Pulis has done an incredible job at the Pally.

On the BBC website for sport, there is a report about him How his day starts etc ,.

He works tirelessly for the cause.

I hope he does get Manager of the year.

I think he will also want to show that upstart Rodgers a thing or two on Monday night.

Well, i hope so, but on the pitch and not in the showers !

Yaya back on his game, Sergio with a few matches under his belt, and the thought of ig Dave being back for the run-in, what's not to like.

Has Rodgers had anything to say about us this week or has he turned his attentions to a Scouse love-in?

The D day !
You can't be a real country unless you have a beer and an airline. It helps if you have some kind of a football team, or some nuclear weapons, but at the very least you need a beer.

I have no idea how it's going to go. Its the fact we are playing at Goodison that bothers me. Any other away ground I would feel happier. Just got to believe that we have good players and that they are in the zone.

Although recent history has told us that we don't usually do well against Everton, home or away, I think that our type of play has the measure of them. Martinez will not park the bus and the crowd will be happy with whatever the outcome is. In fact, I'd say that they'd be pissed off if it was a draw. A win would give them that faint hope of CL football while a loss would give them huge satisfaction in not aiding the Scouse red in their battle with the candle - not lighting it, that is.

Come On You Blues!!!

Edit: Looks like SSN have their favourites for today. They keep showing a newspaper spread where we haven't beat the Toffees in the last 15 attempts. I know they're probably trying to keep the Rags and red Dippers happy but I was sure we beat Everton a few years back under Hughes?

We have won at Everton once in 22 years. I heard that yesterday.

Or 3 times in 24. Not much better but it's better than once in 22. Just looked and if you discount the period we were away from the Prem then it looks even better.

I honestly thought we were robbed last season, once again the ref having a say in how the game panned out. Also, don't forget the effect Walton et al used to have on those games.

We must be due a win, surely.

Yep, sprinted from his own half, busted his guts to get into the box, in a fairly unimportant game, to get us a goal .

A few months later, after coming on as sub, he jogged, half arsed, behind 100 year old Paul Scholes & watched him trot into our box & score the winner in the derby without lifting even half a finger to try & stop him. Has been the same ever since.

Whatevr the reasons behind it; it's a tragedy.

Wasn't it the start of the next season when he just dropped to knees in the middle of the pitch, looking very shakey? Never the same after that, I thought.
