Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

As I was with friends during the match yesterday, and was out later, I didn't have time to logon and start the above thread but I think the game deserves it so here we go.

I'm going for Dzeko, first half I thought he was incredibly frustrating, didn't seem to want to chase people down and wasn't busting a gut to get on the end of crosses. But as usual he scored the goals we needed! I've never loved and hated someone so much!
Hart was also brilliant yesterday, crucial saves and caught a lot of crosses for a change rather than his daft punches.
Toure too was a driving force in midfield until he went off. I think this is what is the difference between us and Liverpool and Chelsea, big game players with title winning know how, let's hope they get us over the line this week!

Edin, especially considering how extraordinary that headed goal was.

I've gone for Edin as well. Not because of his goals but his sheer tenacity and stubboness to get up when the ref said so.
Get in there son.

Has to be Hart. For those 2 potentially championship winning saves.

Jayko all day long for me.
Not the best player or even one of the three best but...ball don't lie.
Cheers

I went for Joe, seeing he's been getting so much shit recently. Mind you, on that basis I could as easily have gone for Dzeko, who had a blinder too. Loved his impersonation of Drogba.
BTW, when did Fernando sign.

This season I think mate. The ...dinho part for me doesn't roll off the tongue and I do like to say 'Fernando' in a very song type of way. His name is Fernando Luiz Roza, afterall ;-)

Dzeko. His two goals won the game.
Hart could have also won it on another day. A clean sheet would've given him the nod. Harsh a little bit cos the opening goal was unstoppable, but you can only pick one and i prefer to give advantage to a forward

Dzeko closely followed by Joe.

I went for Joe, for the two world class saves and him commanding the box on crosses. Edin so close, it could of been either. Great praise for Jimmy Jaws & Zab's work rate......unbelievable

Me too.
Seeing the pics in today's papers, it's almost balletic - its grace and movement that a dancer in the Bolshoi would be proud of.
League Cup final and Yaya's heroics notwithstanding, this was the most iconic goal of the season so far for me. And lying flat on the pitch and taking the booking to take the steam out of what was left of the game, exactly the sort of mean-minded gamesmanship we need to fight off the handballers and mind-game players we've been competing against.

Those saves that kept our title hopes alive swung it for Hart for me but Dzeko's brilliant header was outstanding.
Big honourable mention to Milner, I noticed in the stats in one of the papers that he had run way more than any other player in the Prem yesterday and his work for the goal was excellent.

Apparently Nasri created 8 chances. Only Willian v West Ham with 9 has created more chances in one game this season

I thought he was really up for it yesterday and showed great heart. I think he could be a world beater if he only ran ahead of the player with the ball, I don't know why but he always wants to receive the ball at a level of behind his team mate. That's the big difference between him and Silva and I wish he would do it much more often; with his skill he could then tear teams apart.
