The Fat Lady is on stage, when is the last act?

Postby john@staustell » Mon May 05, 2014 7:38 am

Wagner's Brunhilde is on stage.

She's definitely worked her way through Das Rheingold at the weekend, maybe even Die Valkyrie. Tonight she will either be singing Die Valkyire or, if Palace win, Siegfried.

If she sings Siegfried tonight, then on Wednesday it is Gotterdammerung (The Twilight of the Gods), and the famous last act - which in itself drags on for 25 minutes.

Come on Palace and come on Brunhilde - Siegfried tonight!!

Sadly Palace were unable to get a 4th, so Weds night will see the third opera, Siegfried being performed.

The fat lady Brunhilde should now get her act together for Sunday, assuming a good win on Wednesday.
