Well if what the Italian newspaper "La Repubblica" wrote yesterday is true we might actually be in for him. It said Toni and the Inter CB Cordoba might be on Mancini's wish list, as well as Gago and Stankovic (wasn't hard to guess, this one), who anyway Mourinho won't let go.

Heading for West Ham methinks. Yesterday's hero and certainly not wanted at City.

Uuunnggghhh.....hope not. He is great defender in Italy but would be murdered by long ball teams in England.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

If you're worried about him not being that tall, I can assure you that he has a mighty jump, and despite him being short he's quite good on headers, he also scored quite often for Inter on set pieces with his header. But yes, I do agree that there are better targets we could, and should, pursue for that position, Chiellini being one, if he so much wants to buy from Italy.

Question being do we just sell him and let him stay in Italy....or is there a chance that Machio knows/rates him highly (and Valeri possibly feels likewise re Roberto) and might want/persuade him to come back

Toni has proved himself on the big stage in fairness. To call him 'shit' is a joke.

# European Golden Shoe: 2005-06
# Serie A Top Scorer: 2006
# 2006 FIFA World Cup All-Star Team
# Bundesliga Top Scorer: 2008
# UEFA Cup Top Scorer: 2008

They are individual honours. Not bad at all.

He's a decent finisher, knows where the goal is, but is a bit soft so has to where a throat scarf in away games. I say go for it.

for me not a question of "do we need him?" but of laughing with amusement on how he's deemed to be "shit."
