Kompany wins hands down in every respect of the game imo. Calm, Composed, Plays with his head up, Passes the ball out of defence, finds other players with the same coloured shirt on. He is still only young and will be a colossus for us over the coming years.

What you got with Dunne was loyalty, a fair bit of ability, passion and 100% commitment. A great player for us for many years and i so wanted a testimonial for him, he deserved one.

At 23, Richard Dunne was getting pissed in Cheadle whilst playing right back for a championship side.

and Kompany will get better. I loved Dunney, he was a typical CIty player, a decent defender with the ability to fuck up, make us rip our hair out and then laugh about it hours later but Kompany is in another class.

nicely done.
I'm not really a City fan. I'm just here for attention.

I love Dunne too, but everything you got with him you get with Komps as well - even the occasional comical own goal. Kompany for me every day of the week, month and year.

Is this even a thing?

Dunne was a great player in a poor side, Kompany is in the top 3 players in a side littered with players who can claim the "world class" tag.

This topic is four years old. At the time pressing question as there were people harping on about Dunne being better than Kompany. I felt it waa outrageous claim. Still glad he left when he left.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?
