No place for Javi Garcia in the Spanish squad or Isco.

Remind me of the Buffalo Bills of late, I look around at the rest of the league and see the number one draft pick Jadaveon Clowney, and then compare him to the exotically named Sammy Watkins, selected at number 4 by Buffalo to play alongside Mike Williams, Robert Woods, Trevor Graham and Chris Hogan.

What are the odds on any of these three being starters ahead of Neymar and Hulk? I haven't really been following international football for a while.

Nasri should walk into that squad if you only went by football ability. But I guess his antics in the last tournament is part of the decision.

I hope he comes back with a "I want to show those bastards" attitude next season.

It's probably a good thing for us, but I feel sorry fir the lad.

Frances loss not including Nasri in the squad.

Karim Rekik has made the Dutch squad, fair play to the lad.

"Samir is an important player for Manchester City but he has not performed that well with France," Deschamps told French TV channel TF1.

"He is a starter at City, which is not the case with France and he has made clear that he is not happy when he is not (a starter), and I can tell you it can be felt in the squad.

"I built the best squad, I did not pick the 23 best French players."

wow this fucker really hates him, doesn't he??

This. I hope it means he will be raring to go straight from the beginning next season, ready to show Deschamps what kind of mistake he made.

But really unfortunate for the bloke. He would've deserved a place in the squad

I feel bad for him and, as many have said, he's better than some that did make the squad. At least he'll be fresh and uninjured when the season begins in august

Despite the shit surprised about nasri, still France like most European teams they have little chance of winning it. Brazil or Argentina for me.

Both countries only named their 30. Still needs to be cut to 23 by June.

I think Spain has only given their 30-man shortlist so they still have to wait a bit to see what happens. Hope Demi will go to WC, he was great in the last couple of months!!

Even then, considering them and then no Nasri or Clichy for France does smell Platini calling his mates in French national setup ... I know we at City like our conspiracies but this does smell funny, stinks actually ...

Negredo and Navas in the Spanish SQUAD, tbh I'm kind of glad as both are in need of a confidence boost, if they get game time it will both the power of good, neither can be 'tired' from our run in.

Chuffed for Milner, although I think he won't figure much.

Nasri I am gutted for on one hand, I hope the rebuttle doesn't affect him mentally given the season he's had for us and being 'accepted back' by France... Clichey is understandable if I'm honest. That said, I was happy when it was announced by the frogs because Samir deserves a rest.

As for MDM, again he will be in the squad rather than a starter. Didn't we only sign him up until the end of this season? Don't get me wrong, I like the bloke NOW lol, but wasn't he always a stop gap, very short term?
