Your top 5 favorite goals of the season.

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Your top 5 favorite goals of the season.

Postby Clowncrete » Wed May 14, 2014 9:41 pm

And there are so many to choose from!
(Not in any order by the way)
1) Nasri's goal vs the rags:

Brilliant team-work and loved how bog-brush was left chasing Navas' shadow. Also loved Nasri's celebration.
Watch at 3:26

2) [strike]Negredo's goal vs Arsenal:

Toure makes a wonderful pass to Zabman who crosses it in. Another excellent team goal.[/strike]

Scratch that, The Toure goal vs Sunderland at the final replaces this one.

3) Negredo's goal vs spurs:

He makes a mockery of Dawson!

4) Negredo's first(?) goal vs West Ham in the Coc semifinal first leg:

Toure makes a superb pass from the center of the pitch and Negredo volleys it in. Love how easily it bypasses the entire West Ham bus. If someone like Pirlo or Sc*oles had made that pass, the media would never stop talking about it.

Watch the the second one at 3:42, the spurs one at 2:44 and the volley at 4:32.

5) Toure walking past the Villa players as if they didn't exist!

Where's the Cup Final goal? Actually make that goals ... both of them would/should make the top of the pile ...

I think top 5 won't work, make be work on top 10, and even then it'll be hard to pick one.

AH, I knew I was forgetting a goal!

It's hard to pick five. But now that you mention it, that deserves a place as well. Hmm.

The Yaya goal in cc final was amazing.

I seem to remember a Negrado outside the foot pass to someone that led to a beauty???

The Yaya goal at Palace was pretty special.

Too many to choose from and mostly all a blur this week haha.
Tracking back is overrated.

Negredo's against Spurs when he turned Dawson. Or the one where Negredo did that dead nonchalant dummy and let it run past him to Aguero. Genius.

We've been treated to some bloody wonderful goals this season. Also reminded me of just how good Negredo was early doors. Hope he gets that back.

that's the one that sticks out to me. Negars with the outside of the foot. The camera was looking right down the line of the pass.

Still my favourite goal that, at West Ham.
Nasri at Wembley,
Yaya same game.
Aguero scoring the first in the home derby.
Big Dave's curler at Hull.
You could include all Yaya's free kicks.
Oh and Dzeko scoring inside a minute at the swamp (even if only for the reason they knew they were gonna get humped by us again)

Lots of fantastic goals to choose from this season, although I think the first 2 in the League Cup final are my favourites.

Yaya's was sheer individual brilliance.

Nasri's was a fantastic team goal, with a fantastic finish too. What most of the highlights don't show is the full build-up for that goal - starting with Kolarov's cushioned header back to Pantilimon and Pantilimon's long kick straight to Aguero. This was followed by (what the highlights usually show) Aguero's excellent control, Kolarov's sprint down the wing to receive the ball from Aguero and then the cross and finish. A fantastic move from start to finish.

Negredo's vs West Ham in the cup (I think) when Yaya played a long lob into the penalty box and Negredo finished it on a volley running in teh same direction as the ball. They don't come much harder than that. If that would've been Messi, Ibrahimovic or Ronaldo, it would have been one of the most talked about goals of the season. IMO.

Agüero's first vs the Rags at our place. Also a thing of beauty.

Yaya's vs Sunderland.

Dzeko's header against Everton away.

Negredo's last against Tottenham when he fooled Dawson and finished with one touch. A Beaut.

These are my five in that order. I think.
"I used to be 6 foot 2 with curly hair, look what it's done to me"

"In my career so far it's the most important goal. You score the goal in the last minute to win the title. You're not sure if that's ever going to happen in your career again. I wish I could tell you how I did it but I can't. I thought for all the world that Mario was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."

I like that list and order......I would sandwich Aguero's v Chelsea in there somewhere too, Good old Petr didn't even see it go past him.

You can't be a real country unless you have a beer and an airline. It helps if you have some kind of a football team, or some nuclear weapons, but at the very least you need a beer.
