Firstly there are no direct quotes from Yaya
Secondly there is something very strange going on with tweets being deleted

I don't want one of the best midfielders in the world to leave us, he is a BIG game player and a big game changer.
However, if it turns out he is engineering a move away, he couldn't pick a better time
- just had the season of his life
- scoring a shit load of goals
- has everyone purring about him
- has 3 years left on his contract
- We will demand a massive transfer fee or we tell them to feck off

If he stays fantastic. if he goes then we sell at the height of his popularity and get the best possible price.

He's not going ffs!

We get this every year, same time, same bloke. It's his agent's m.o. to try & get more money out of City & Yaya just plays along, then plays for City.

We refused to give his agent a bung when the deal went through & he's been doing this ever since. There is NEVER an interview with the bloke where he DOESN'T talk about Yaya leaving.

Messi does the same every year, but in a less obvious way.

Lets just say it's the most tenuous transfer story from an agent I've ever heard.

I've heard Yaya's threatening to leave the Ivory Coast world-cup squad as the kitman put the wrong type of conditioner on his Peppa Pig pyjamas.

I'm not sure anyone other than Mark Saggers believes a word his agent says. The problem is the tweets and the way players use Twitter as a whole.

It's made to look like it's a personal message from them to the fans, yet most are probably done by PR people. There were two very different pairs of tweets, clearly done by different people. I don't believe either were written by Yaya, bit the issue is did he approve any of them?

This looks like a fight between different members of his team, but it's in his name and he needs to sort it out.

The guy don't speak English nearly good enough , how the fuck this idiot is hes Manager and somehow it's hard to me to believe that Yaya did not know what this moron will be talking, and if he did not then he should give some kind of statement. If anyone has all the attention in this club by the media and fans and the administration then it is Yaya. He deserved it, but this does not make sense and puts a shadow on his great season.I did not watch that interview, great for reminding me. I am interested in what that man has to say about the club in general.

This looks like Yaya is posturing for a fatter contract the greedy greedy f*#@er.

From the agent's point of view it's a win win situation, if the farce goes tits up and City stand their ground on renegotiating the contract then Yaya may well leave (and the team will be weaker no doubt) and the agent gets his fee on the transfer, if the farce works then Yaya gets a bigger contract and the agent gets his chunk on that.

Unfortunately for Yaya he'll have lost a lot of love and respect from the fans and club and for what? A few extra quid on top of his mountains of cash per week. One could say that he's been badly advised but at the end of the day this business is in his name.

As said earlier on this thread it's at times like this that I fall a little more out of love with football.

Let's face it, this year, next year, the year after or whenever Yaya will go. To another club or just suffer the inevitable decline of age, If/when he goes he will need replacing. It's highly unlikely that we would get someone exactly like him, and anyway the team would need to evolve.

Maybe it would be for the best if we could cash-in on him now. Get the money and let him grow old at someone else's club. A hard nosed decision? Of course, but that's what managers are paid for.

Expect similar hard-nosed decisions re Merlin, Kun, Nasri, Vincent etc.

I love Yaya but its this kind of stuff that always makes SIlva a bigger legend than him in my eyes. I love the way SIlva doesnt court attention or come out with ridiculous statements like the one Yaya did a few weeks ago.

In saying that lets hope this doesnt go the way of tevez as he is an unbelievable player that we would struggle to replace at the moment.

Aguero's birthday is coming up on the second of June... Might want to post the card now just to be sure, or maybe air drop a cake in South America. Cake might not survive but it's the thought that counts. Then again I'm sure kun wouldn't kick up a fuss since he doesn't seem to be a fan of complete nonsense.

If it was the tought that counts, Yaya wouldn't kick up a fuss about this birthday ;)

Anyway, I don't believe any of this bollocks. I also don't understand why Yaya doesn't sack this manager, like how Tevez didn't sack his. Do they hold a gun to his head, or something?

I am firmly of the opinion that players should get fined if their agent gets the club in trouble, or starts spouting bs to gain money, a better deal, or just for the lulz. Maybe that way players will be a little harder on their agents.
I'm also firmly of the opinion that players should pay their agents, not clubs. Why does a club have to pay a fee for an agent hired by the player?

This just falls back down on agents having too much power and getting away with their bs. I'm all for agents trying to negotiate a better deal, or trying to find another club if a player is unhappy, but don't go spouting off your crap in the media.

We've all been there: starting the day on holiday with a few jolly drinks, winking at the world and living the good life. Then the more drunk we get the darker it all becomes.

Hangover for Yaya this morning.

Second this.

I think it's really sad, and a reflection on modern football, that 'heroes' can crumble before our eyes.

I don't remember the 60s, but certainly the 70s, and I look back the pictures of great moments from those times, and those guys are still heroes - Neil Young, Colin Bell... Dennis Tueart and the overhead kick is one of the Top Five iconic goals in City history and you can't look at a photo of it without smiling, whether you were there or not.

Yaya has scored plenty of goals that will in years to come be considered 'iconic'... three of them at Wembley, just like Tueart! But in the future, are we going to look at pictures of these goals and think 'what a nob', like I think if I see a picture of Tevez lifting the FA Cup, and spoiling what we felt about these achievements at the time?

Yaya talks about 'respect', what about respect for the City fans? He plans to keep us dangling on a string with tweets all summer, like Eden Hazard did a couple of years ago? The only difference being, Eden Hazard had no relationship with the City fans, so the fact that he was being a prickish prima donna and tweeting 'will I join you? Or will I join YOU?' ultimately doesn't matter to us. Yaya is beloved of City fans, and for him to throw this in our faces... yes, he's a wonderful player and has done a lot for the club and he is more closely linked with this golden era than perhaps anyone, but it works both ways. If he has a truly serious problem with the club, he should at the very least tone it down in public and stop giving the City haters in the media ammunition to make us the laughing stock we were in the late Mancini era. I thought these days were over...
