Yes. Still the best left back in the country by some distance, and on a free its a no brainer.

Fills FFP quota too.

Clichy is homegrown I believe so keeping the lot(after Micah leaves obviously) and playing Clichy(natural right footer) on the right as backup for Zabs.

he is naturally a righty, but he's not the player on the right that he is on the left. He's been using his left since he was a small child.

He's not Lahm, who's actually capable of playing left or right at a high level.

I'd love Cole alongside Sagna on frees. Couldn't do much better for free transfers in areas we'll need cover, with two proven fullbacks.

cheers

Not sure I like the person but he is a very good full back.Is he better than what we have already? I think yes in the defensive part of the game but he isn't better than Kolarov going forward. To accommodate him we would have to get rid of one of the two we already have. A 2 year contract is all I assume we would offer and then we might well have out own player,Angelino about ready to step up.

Left back is not a priority position. Only way we would have any interest is if some big-money deal for Kolarov had already been set up. Otherwise why bother?

If we take the words of the Chairman the drama queens and I include the Yayacakegate, players with front page lifestyles are not for us.
Cole has been a good un, would his heart be in our club, sorry.

Id have him on a pay as you play (football) deal. Can be a top notch player when hes arsed. Seems to play better for his country than his club though.

No.

No improvement on Kolarov offensively and though better than Clichy defensively, time is not his friend. I would sooner see the funds allocated elsewhere. Back up goalie and centre back and right back. Unless as part of a deal for Benatia or Pogba, and Kolarov goes as part exchange, in which case we need back up

why...?
1. he's going to want to prove a massive point to the rags after they dumped him
2. it would wind nqdp up more than cole, schmeichel and hughes put together

That would be pretty outrageous, it has to be said.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?
