Lets get one thing straight , YAYA has made himself a laughing stock and the piss takers will make his life a misery from hereon.....I have ZERO sympathy for a player who would not back his club, fans and also belittle his fellow players with his attitude of "Im more important than all of you".

He deserves NOTHING but being the butt of all jokes from now on....that will teach him for not making a loyal stand to the club that has done everything for him.
THEY SAY SWEARING IS DUE TO A LIMITED VOCABULARY. I KNOW THOUSANDS OF WORDS, BUT I STILL PREFER "FUCK OFF" TO "GO AWAY"

Goaters 103 wrote:Lets play devils advocate for a minute - I feel like doing this as this whole load of bollocks could have been nipped in the bud by Ya Ya yesterday, but instead he chose to feed it & make it worse, so quite frankly fucl him. He and his agent have chosen to piss into our tent after we've just won the league, and without any possible justification. For this, and for the look on my 9 year old sons face when he heard that Toure wanted to leave, I feel sick to the pit of my stomach.

Now, at age 31 and with 3 years left on his contract City hold all the cards here, and the player wont be going anywhere unless we decide its in our own interests, no matter what that buffoon of an Agent thinks or does.

Clearly the player has been tapped, either by Barca, PSG or someone else via his Agent so thinks he can manufacture a move or crowbar more money out of us. I'm of the opinion that both he and the agent have overplayed their hand here in a major way, and the club have played this spot on by saying absolutely nothing, and letting Ya Ya and his agent hang themselves in the court of public opinion. We are a much stronger club than we were when Tevez kicked off, and probably even wiser for it too.

However, Ya Ya's age and given his contract situation, his value as a sellable asset will never be higher, and from this point on it will only depreciate as will his skills in cent midf where he has 1-2 yrs left at the top level, even in a best case scenario. Then he'd have to play right up top, or parked in the back 4.

Assuming we could get Barkley, Pogba or even a swap for Cesc Fabregas, would/should we sell him? If it suits us, then yes, but only if it does suit us and that's the key. His fee would be north of £30m, wages astronomical, so who can actually pay this? Real, Barca maybe, Chelsea, PSG perhaps but that's about it - a small pond, even allowing for the dead cert Napoli/AC Milan loan offer as long as we paid the wages, paid them and fed Berlusconi's cat.

Bottom line, what do City do? At the moment nothing, but if any of the aforementioned 3 poss replacements above can be had, Id strongly consider getting shut if the fee was north of £30m and the deal was right for us. Given Ya Ya's advancing years, maybe this is a blessing in disguise, we'll see.

What the past 48 hours has reminded me is why Pablo Zabaleta is my favourite City player; no agenda, no bullshit, total commitment.

Ya Ya will always have a place in this clubs heart, but the past 3 summers mean he will never be adored the way Vinny, Zabba, Mr Silva or Sergio currently are and will be unless they choose to shit on us via the press & in public. I somehow doubt they ever will.

Spot on post that, quality.

If Yaya just wanted to leave and say that he fancied a challenge elsewhere to finish his career and that he'd been proud to have been a part of what we've achieved etc, I think we'd have been more understanding. The fact he's got his agent and himself (see his BeIn Sports interview) giving it all this "disrespect" lark is laughable. It's actually disrespect to us, the fans, the ones who actually turn up week in week out to see the team do the business.

Yaya needs to look at the way Vinny and Zaba handle themsleves and take a lesson from them. Like you said, it's why we love Zaba so much. Is it any surprise the chants for him have been the loudest at the Etihad for ages? Absolutely not.

Sell him and get Paul Pogba. He's been immense this season. how many good season has Yaya got left. Let Barca or PSG pay the big transfer fee. Pogba has got over ten years left in him.

Yaya's a great player who has always had this kind of stuff around him, mainly due to his agent being a fucking money grabbing headcase & Yaya not putting a stop to it. It was the same at Barca, where he says he wants to go at the end of his career. He would almost certainly need a new agent & how often do Barca sign veterans on big wages these days ?

So long as he produces the goods on the pitch, just let him get on with it.

He will most likely just smooth it over & get on with his job. like he always does, unless a load of City fans start dissing him, which the media would then turn into a hate campaign. Remember journos burning effigies of Tevez in order to make it worse ?

The best way to deal with this is to laugh at it.

Re: Yaya toure leaving?!!!!??!!

Postby nottsblue » Wed May 21, 2014 5:22 pm

A fucking mess

Doubt for a second Yaya sent the tweets or indeed agrees with the sentiment. However we as yet have not had a denial or a rebuke. A simple " I love it here at City. We have just had the best ever season and I can't wait for the new season to start. It has all been a misunderstanding of a joke that went too far." Yet nothing. Silence sometimes speaks louder than words.

This then possibly leads to the conclusion that Yaya does want out. If so, what an idiot. He has just had arguably the best season by a midfielder in prem history and his stock couldn't be higher. If he had just said thanks but I want a new challenge, or I miss Spain, or I want to play in another league, you could understand that. Might not like it but you can get that. This shows the total lack of respect he bangs on about.

What his agent has failed to grasp is the extremely good position City are in. He has 3 years left on his contract and after the season he has just had, his value has to be well in excess of £30m. Coupled with a large signing on fee and very high wages, how many clubs are realistically in the market for him?

Imo his bridges are far from being burned so for him to carry on probably won't even cause a ripple in the dressing room. Imagine the rest of the players have already sent an entire Greggs shop delivery to his house as a piss take. Of course the media, TV and printed, are having meltdowns as there is nothing else to report. Just wait for Shrek and van Gaal to have a dust up. That will be explosive.

What this does show however is the the club are the most important part in all of this. Yaya is purely an employee at the end of the day. An important one I'll grant you, but an employee nonetheless. If the club and its owners deem Yaya to have been disrespectful or to have brought the club into disrepute, he will be off. End of. Look at Tevez and Balotelli. Shipped out as soon as possible. They were replaced. Yaya should be under no illusions he is indespensible. No one is. It pains me to say it but this likely wouldn't have happened under Bacon or escalated the way it has

It looks like the agent has had tentative enquiries of Yayas availability. If a serious offer was to come in of over £30m I reckon the club might just take it. Then go get a Pogba, or a Vidal, or a Barkley. He is 31 after all and has 2/3 years left at top, whereas these guys have a decade. There is an old adage of sell your players when you can get the most value from them. This might be that occasion in the eyes of the club. If, and pre world cup its a big if, but only if a replacement is found will he be sold. It will be that way round as well. He will be sold by us on our terms rather than he leave on his.

However, for the fans I think it boils down to the simple equation of 'do you want him in your team or not in your team'. For the vast majority and judging by the player of the year thread and poll I reckon we will want him to stay. I for one hope he does
