Atletico Madrid won La Liga
Fulham got relegated
Austria won Eurovision.

England have selected 23 players for their squad...

I remember back in 1998 there was something about adding together every team's previous two winning years and getting the same number, 3964, which would also be the total for 1998 + 1966, meaning that England were definitely going to win.

Love the Liverpool bit, by the way

Liverpool won the lge this year too in April didn't they? I read about it in all the papers, saw all those scouters lining the streets cheering a bus - admittedly a trophy less bus - and most of the Motd panel told us they'd won it too.

They won it in December the first time...then march then April. Sadly the league ended in May. Fucked up if you ask me.
