What a rollercoaster. Apart from that season under Pearce which was basically the bit at the end of the ride while you wait for the train to pull into the platform so you can get off.

I can still remember shouting "Fat lot of good that is now" at Horlock when we pulled one back. Great memories.

I had to stop my big brother from storming out when Big Fat Bob bagged. I had a feeling that my years of blind optimism were about to pay off.

Bout time we moved on from it now though.

Remember it being a relief more than anything. Criminal that we were allowed to sink so low.

Credit to the lads who stood up & took the pens - prob Edghills finest moment as a Blue, & Cookes career moment.

I would have just turned 10. Remember watching it with my dad. Couldn't believe it when Dickovs pen hit both posts and came back out! I can remember running around the garden like Nicky Weaver all summer after that. Made dad go out and get me some goalie gloves as all I wanted to be was a keeper! That only lasted two years!

Fuck that! I see my support during that match (and, by extension, that whole era) as a badge of honour, as the dirt under my fingernails. If I never attend another match, I'll still know I was there when the chips were down.

Exactly, it's what separates most of us from the rags or dippers. When people still make comments about rich man's toy and what will we do when he gets bored, it's why I don't care - I've seen us win a trophy, hell, I've seen us win four having dreamed of just getting back to the top flight.

I still enjoy singing Invisible Man or We never win at home as a reminder of where we came from. I know we haven't got any history, but no club has a history like we've got

Actually think it was more important than that. If Aguero had missed, we'd probably have won it last season or this. If Dickov had missed, we could have been another Sheffield Wednesday

It seems a lot longer than 15 years and when we look at it 15 years is just a short time for where we've been. We were never prolific but during that time under Mercer it looked like we were going to dominate the league for many years to come. It must've been a great time for Blues but once my era arrived it took a serious downhill spiral.

But, for many, we didn't join the club for the trophies or prestige, it was a family and social thing, just like many other lesser clubs. We enjoyed seeing the faces on the terraces, the humour that entailed under the tin-roofed pissers at the back of the Kippax, it was all good. We created an atmosphere that was special to us, an atmosphere that could be harmful to our oppo as well as to ourselves, but we didn't care, we were together.

Fifteen years isn't the half of it, there's a lot more to boot, but would I change it for trophies, glory or anything other than what we are?

Would I fuck.
In the words of my Old Man, "Life will never be the same without Man City, so get it in while you can".
