You think people would have learned their lesson by now. But that is something that will never change. I'm surprised it hasn't already started by now.

Apparently Fernando is being brought in with mainly the Champions league in mind, expect him to be starting all the Champs league games next year and be a bit "in and out" in the league and cups (so don't whack him in your fantasy footy team too hastily).

The general belief is Fernando is our number 1 target this season (odd i know) but Pellegrini reckons our midfield to have been too tame last season, especially so in Europe and has identified Fernando as the man he believes we are crucially missing in our quest to go further in the UCL.

He sounds like a proper Nigel De Jong-esk beast and i certainly welcome that kind of player with open arms. Nothing like a good tackle to rally the crowd in the big games and derbies!

Looking forward to this one hitting the OS.

This is no slagging of you, just curiosity. When you say apparently and the general belief, are you going on what you've read or something you've heard?
"I used to be 6 foot 2 with curly hair, look what it's done to me"

"In my career so far it's the most important goal. You score the goal in the last minute to win the title. You're not sure if that's ever going to happen in your career again. I wish I could tell you how I did it but I can't. I thought for all the world that Mario was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."

That's it, you've just smashed my mental image of Javi!

The Spainish Gaz Baz - that's just so yes!

Bugger I can't get that image out of my head. I need to paste Javi's head on a pic of Barry! Aaaaaghhhh!

We're not going through an entire season with just three central midfielders. Rodwell is out the door and there have been signs he was no longer needed for most of the season just gone (same with Micah) if you know what to look for.

I don't think Garcia will be going anywhere either but I'm not sure he is the answer if we want to get to the very top. He had some good games such as Hull away, but I re watched the Everton away game at the weekend. I did nt realise how poor he was and his lack of pace was exposed a few times.

I think may be a physical impossibility for me, whatever it means? Notwithstanding that, I hadn't realised you were a neologist too?

He may have meant perturbed, but he's American so spelling isn't high on his list of priorities.

Anyone think this could be the piece of the jigsaw Pellers wanted to play a 4-3-3 formation?
I know in the past he has said he doesn't pay attention to formations, but wasn't the 4-3-3 the system all our youth teams were being taught to play.
I could imagine Fern, Yaya, Fern in the middle with Silva, Negrado/Dzeko, Aguero up top with the two wide players dropping back in to mid when we are under the kosh.
It also provides cover for when Yaya goes on a mad one to join the front three.
