Thanks Joleon and good luck wherever you go, however, I still think he should stay here!

Fantastic interview. Wish him all the best.

His header against Bolton deserved more space though. It was a funny but important goal, qualified us to our first champions league if I'm not mistaken. Plus there was so much garbage and debris blowing around on the field that day it was ridiculous.
"I used to be 6 foot 2 with curly hair, look what it's done to me"

"In my career so far it's the most important goal. You score the goal in the last minute to win the title. You're not sure if that's ever going to happen in your career again. I wish I could tell you how I did it but I can't. I thought for all the world that Mario was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."

I'm glad they've done this. A champ & a City legend.

I hope he does well wherever he goes then stays in contact with the club afterwards.

I hope we're doing something similar for Gareth Barry.

Great video. Well done to the club for doing this.

The guy has been largely excellent for us during his time here and he has clearly enjoyed himself at City. We generally always were stronger defensively with Lescott in the side and Vinnie clearly performed better with Lescott next to him.

He definitely could still do a job for us (and clearly would like to stay), but as he is leaving it means we massively need to reinforce the defence this summer. Whilst Demichelis finished the season much improved, he is no long-term answer. Boyata will never be anymore than a squad player and Nastasic is useless so sorting the defence is the priority for us now.

A travesty that we're letting him go. An absolute travesty.

agree, guy wants to stay, there's a perfect role there for him, the fans want him, everything about it makes sense but we are letting him go, a travesty as you say.

Take a bow, son.

He will be forever welcome here, quality player and great personality to work with. One of Hughes best moves. Even Carl will miss our big fella,

Have a nice one, Joleon.

Respect!

Big mistake letting him go, great servant of the club, great personality and roll model.

I think Pellegrini is very wrong for not giving him a fair opportunity to earn his place in the side.

Love Lescott! He's been one of my favourite players over the last years, despite the incredible competition.
I'm sad to see him go, but I trust that the management know what they're doing.

I wish him the best of luck where ever he's going. I hope he stays in the Prem, cause I think he still got a lot to give on this level.

I am probably one of the few who do think it is time to say goodbye. However, the way he has conducted himself whilst he was out of the team for the largest part of the reasons was an example to any pro. Any time we scored he was always bouncing about the bench looking delighted to be part of a winning squad.

Top bloke.

Enjoyed watching that. Wish the fella the best of luck. Would have liked him to get more game time at the side of Vinny this last season but in the end Demi came good.

Lovely kind of goodbye and he has valued his time with us.
