I'm mainly looking forward to a world cup involving City players. And I don't just mean Paulo Wanchope. Many of the favourites have City players, Germany even has a City reject.

We could easily start a team who'll be playing in the world cup

Hart
Zaba Kompany MDM Kolarov
Fernandinho
Milner Yaya Silva
Aguero Dzeko

Although he frustrates the life out of me, I might keep my fingers crossed for Dzeko

Well, if this is true, it certainly won't be Argentina.

I'll be interested to hear the three Argentinian City players' views of this.

On topic, Japan, I suppose.

Tbh I want all our lads out of the tournament ASAP to give them proper break.
Especially likes of Silva, Zabba, Kun, Fred would really need a good break.
Not nice for them but MCFC is all I care for

None for me. As always, I'll be supporting my national team and if they go out I'll enjoy the competition and the football that it offers.

If England go out early, I'd like to see Spain (my second home, really) and the US (where my wife is from) do well. Doomy's repeated snide remarks about England may see me rethink my already half-arsed support for the States if they continue, though! Their one half-decent outfield player isn't on the plane, so I can't see them hanging around anyway.

Other than that, it'd be interesting to see Bosnia, Japan or an African team do well.

Well, they've sure as hell looked better than England so far. Convincing wins against Turkey and Nigeria. Wouldn't be surprised to see them make a run tbh.

Back on topic, I'd like to see Croatia do well. I'm not sure why.. maybe it's their kits.

Other than England, who usually end up irritating me, and City players, I have no real affiliation. It is always good fun when a team whose players have unpronounceable names progresses though!

I'll be on holiday in Bratislava for the QFs, so I'll probably take my lead from the locals in the bars.

We have City players all over the place so I'll be interested to see how they perform. However since Argentina has 3 City players, I'll be rooting for them and I think they will be the team that will go far and I've picked them to win the Cup. Let's see how the partnership of Kun and Messi works out ?

Would be great to see Aguero and Messi click and make the WC a real spectacle. Two off the most exciting players in the game.Would like to have seen Tevez in the squad he had a good season with Juventus.

Here's the video. The stunt seems to be organised by a bloke in a bubble jacket, there seem to be a lot of kids involved, and from the video, you couldn't definitely say all the players know exactly what they're standing behind. No City players are involved, you see Aguero near the bench for the national anthems.

But it's always been the elephant in the room with City having so many Argentinian players. Because he was such a loose cannon, I was in constant fear of Tevez stripping off his shirt after scoring to show a 'Malvinas' slogan. With the players we have now, less so, and Zab seems most anglophile and adapted, but so was Ardiles, but as soon as he got with the team for 1982 World Cup training, he started spouting stuff on the war that was going on at the time, I told you, they all seem bloody obsessed!

Argentina, thanks to Kun, Zab and maybe even Martin. Would still nuke them if they play silly buggers over the Falklands though.

Next, Spain and Belgium.

And then any other countries with non-agitating City players.

Can you just imagine the yanks if they won it though? They normally only play games that no one else plays so they don't have the risk of not being the best, but I'm not sure I could face them winning it. Or Australia for the same reasons.

I'd love to see a City player win it with the rest of them knocked out in the group stages so it doesn't affect pre-season. Hopefully Holland make the third place play off just to keep van gaal busy. Pity they didn't make the Europa via tge Fair Play League as I was talking to a Celtic fan last week who was saying their first CL game is before the final

But let's be realistic - the better it works out in the World Cup, the bigger the momentum for it to continue in Barcelona shirts next season.

I'd rather they had a non-descript World Cup, out in round 2 or something, with Aguero and Messi not really clicking on the pitch, and Kun thinking to himself 'I wish I was playing alongside The Beast!'

i'll try and refrain from sharing my opinion on your craptastic manager and his decisions about team makeup.

Honestly, there should be enough talent to get out of the group and cause some trouble, but i can't see it happening.

If it makes you feel any better i can't fucking stand watching the US team, so...it won't shock you that my son said he hopes England wins, then Argentina. He's 8.

cheers
