Just read an interview with Joe Hart about goalkeeping mistakes at international level, & Greene handing a goal to Dempsey at the last World Cup.

At that point, I realised that I can't remember that happening at all & off the top of my head, I can't remember one fucking second of that game nor most things England did at the last World Cup or anything else. I remember a fiasco v Germany which I'm assuming was the World Cup ?

I can remember my conclusions about styles of play & certain players' faillings, but individual England games ? I recon I've shedded 95% of them.

I can remember stuff that happened under Terry Venables & Owen/Beckham v Argy, little snippets & incidents like that, but most of it has gone.

We really have had a whole generation of fuck all worth bothering about.

Dempsey had a shot from the edge of his own penalty area which slowly ran along the ground, the sort your not even sure is going to reach the goal. Greene somehow managed to let it go through him. What that tosser was doing in net is still unknown, but someone should have looked at the betting patterns.

Cheers, but can't even remember it now you've told me.

Just shows how enthusiastic I must have been at the time.

What worries me about that was how excepted it was the hart wasn't quite ready despite being the best keeper by a mile and the thought that some of the young players we have that on their day could turn a game may get the same fate this time out.
