It's remarkable how long Spain & Barca, have got away with such fucking shite defenders. Now Xavi etc are that bit older, we are starting to find out what the defence is really made of.

When you look at RVP & Robben, then you look at that fucker Chelsea are signing... jeezus.

I'd be terrified if he was coming to City. Negredo is fucking miles better.

Well, Costa is a perfect Mou signing. A cheat and a thug. Made for Chelsea!

First half he was making the right runs but being left isolated. 2nd half he was still making the right runs, but they just gave up passing to him, or for that matter anyone in a Spain shirt

At the end, they were saying how it hadn't worked first half either.

I think the reason it didn't work, is because he is shit.

i think that's probably the first step, but I don't think they have the legs to press the ball like they used to, even with 6 there, & that leaves, Alonso, Busquets, Piquet & Ramos exposed.

If Chile beat us 2-0 we'll have done well. I expect a 3-0 loss.

Makes you wonder about the sense leaving navas at home when there is absolutely no pace going forwards. With a quarter of a yard of pace lost from xavi, the whole fluidity of the team is fucked with little in the way of a plan b

No you're not missing something, he's just loathsome, my mistake.

Sorry Mr del Bosque, I mistook you for someone else, you all look alike to me.

I thought for all the world that Mario was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."

Joke not taking Navas & Negredo. David Villa on the bench. Soon to be playing for City's US & Aussie teams, whilst Negredo plays for City in the Prem, & can't get on the fucking plane.

One thing Costa is good at is heading the ball & Navas would be the ideal man to provide the ammo. Having just watched Chile/Australia though, you would expect Spain to score quite a few v both, so they could get a 2nd chance to get their shit together.

Give a champion a sniff & you never know what might happen.

had no idea that Robben still had that kinda speed in him. the guy looks 40.

Costa and Spain just don't seem to mesh. Atletico plays very different than Spain plays. very shocking to see Del Bosque try something new in the WC.

Casillas looks awful. Shame that Valdes is out as he'd almost surely be in goal next match.

Robben looked 50 at Chelsea, so the moisturiser's working.

I was relatively impressed with Casillas considering he was the only one at the back. He did cock up for two of their goals, but it was only him and the bar that kept it to single figures.

If it's anything like the defeat to Switzerland, it'll be Silva's fault, so expect Fabregas in for him.

In the Euros, they looked like they needed a striker to give them a plan B to break teams down. After last night, they just need to go back to plan A very quickly.

Exactly what I thought. Last we'll see of Silva this summer.

Silva that far forward would score 8 against the Aussies tho.

As the season went on Navas was increasingly marked out of games when defenders worked him out. He needs far more variation, the large majority of the time he'll try his one trick of feigning to go left with the drop of a shoulder and then switching right but then defenders just gave him a yard and he seemed to run out of ideas. Milner is far better at working the space for a cross.

Anyway what a fantastic set of games yesterday. Unbelievably good performance by Holland and that will go down as a world cup classic for sure.
Showed anything is possible.

Wowwwwwww i must say i enjoy raping Tikataka by Total football from Holland . It was bit insane tactic by Van Gaal 3 5 2 or 3 6 1 with insane roaming , its three defend and three attack and all the rest is out there.
You can't be a real country unless you have a beer and an airline. It helps if you have some kind of a football team, or some nuclear weapons, but at the very least you need a beer.

Quality piece of TV before the game showing how Van Gaal invented the tiki taki style of football and how he nurtured the likes of Iniesta , Xavi , Puyol, Busquets etc as they came through the youth ranks at Barca . Guess he knows them and Spanish football inside out ;-) Fucking hated the love in with him and RVP though !
