City squad numbers update

Postby JamieMCFC » Tue Jul 15, 2014 5:33 pm

Manchester City have announced a few changes to their squad numbers for the coming season.

Summer signings Willy Caballero, Fernando, and Bacary Sagna have all been allocated numbers, taking 13, 6, and 3 respectively.

Caballero takes the shirt worn by Aleks Kolarov last season; the Serb has switched to take the No.11 jersey.

And Karim Rekik has been given the 19 shirt, suggesting he will be included in first-team plans this season after a year in the Eredivisie with PSV.

The changes come in time for this Thursday, when the new kit will be on sale for the first time in the CityStore.

Kolarov changing to number 11........change of position, are we going to see him utilised as a winger more often that not then?

He wears 11 for his country too, might just be a preference. It goes to show he doesnt see himself as a defender anyway!

If Sinclair is getting a number, then we can't judge much from this allocation.
