If Pellers wants him then I'd trust his judgement. From what I heard he had a disappointing season at Real and I'm not sure I'd want to see any of the existing squad make way for him, but like I said if Pellers wants him then fair enough.

i can't see any of our attacking oriented players accepting that.

liverpool would make more sense to replace suarez, but i certainly hope he does not go there, on loan or otherwise.

Who sits down for him though? We are getting the best out of our 3 creative players and they are almost telepathic with each other now. Navas seems okay with his utility role so no point upsetting that apple cart. Milner maybe? But that would limit Isco's playing time, which would be the exact reason he'd want out of Madrid.

One of the most impressive young players I have watched in recent years.I agree that he's not just going to walk into the team but I do believe he's good enough to play himself into the team.If he's available I hope he comes to city.

A loan move for Isco & Falcao would strengthen the squad nicely without causing any breaches in the cartel sanctions.

Sell a few players over the transfer window(s) into next season and we would have enough money to make both deals permanent, especially if we sneakily included part of the fees in the loan agreements.

One source confidently predicted that City have no interest in Isco though, as if they had received a decent tip off from the club.

It wouldn't just be 'deadwood' as such though, it would be Garcia or Negredo due to the squad restrictions. Balance would have to be considered but it would still end up worth doing I should imagine.

i think we were in for isco last close season because we either would have looked to perhaps sell nasri after his poor performance the season prior, or make him more of a substitute/create competition to determine who to keep.

of course, that did not occur and nasri responded to pellegrini by having a fairly fantastic year for us. hard to see him out of the first eleven unless we are getting someone drastically better, which i am not so sure isco is, although he does have more potential to be given his age. adding anyone to compete with nasri now would surely upset him as he just signed a 5 year deal. his doing so however could put us in a stronger position to sell, but i am gathering his wages are quite high. psg would seem most likely if we ever sell him, one would think.

some players react differently to competition, no?

seems dzeko was able to handle it, and he was given his chance to start. he did not begin so well, then negredo came on. negredo's form bottomed out and was dropped for dzeko.

it can be one of those good problems, but some players need to feel "loved."

on our team, nasri strikes me as someone who needs to feel he is important. pellegrini did well with that but it would have been very interesting if we had signed isco to see how that played out.

i think we'd love to have him, but i think we'd have to sell a striker and one other player.

i think we went in for jovetic instead after we missed on isco. that was not exactly the worst backup plan, especially if jovetic can stay fit.
