I just get fed up with him continually whinging and whining in that ridiculous accent, that sounds like it's out of Monty Python.

Can we start calling him Vinegar Tits, the bitter bastard.

However, from the replies it looks as though the media were in for a sound bite and loaded the questions for an anti-City response. Vinegar Tits responded as planned though.

he's fucking DEAD wrong.

Lamps and others are just getting some physical activity before their season starts. Our strategy cannot be to just buy up a bunch of clubs and then loan players back from those clubs. That's fucking horseshit.

And if you believe it, then yr Wenger's pissboy.

cheers

We didn't sign him, NYCFC did, we're just keeping him fit until NYCFC kick off. It makes a lot of sense for so many reasons, that said I can't see him getting a lot of first team football with us.

You can't just buy a load of clubs, have them buy players and them give 'em to another. I don't even think FIFA are dumb enough not to see through this.

Plus he didn't even really say anything remotely controversial.

Chalk it up to another internet forum overreaction.

It's the insinuation that City are going to use this to circumvent FFP that irked me, where has it been said that City won't be paying Lampard's wages in their entirety?

The fact is teams benefit from mutual relationships across the world - Arsenal got Henry back on loan because he had played for them previously, United used to loan players to Standard Liege all the time, clubs pick up youth players from Africa because of link ups in that region, and let's not forget the whole Udinese/Watford thing.

This is simply an extension of practices that already exist officially and unofficially but poor Arsene doesn't like it. Boo hoo.

It actually took slightly longer than I expected for him to come out with this. It is highly predictable and tedious in the extreme. Problem is, he has got the ear of platini. I have no doubt platini will also be getting similar from rumenigge et al. It really is nothing more than petty jealousy and extremely two-faced: does anyone else remember Arsenal's deal with Beveren?

If monsieur wenger doesn't like it, he is more than welcome to get on the Eurostar and not come back.

I meant sign him on loan. And I don't see him getting much playing time either. But it helps with our English player quota and that's why we did it

I don't think we've signed him to help us out at all, just to keep him fit - and I HOPE he wont be playing much, because the team would suffer with a 36 year old in central midfield every time we lost possession.

Dam and xavi picked out the two things for me where whiner gets it wrong , this has no relevance to the FFP that the arse is always championing, but to the dubious fines and restrictions imposed on City. He didn't see a problem using Henry until he did actually see the problem on the field, using an older, less fit has been that was Henry, in his comeback shirt for the Arse.

If Lampard gets any other minutes than on the training pitch and an easy run out in the league cup i would be very surprised and a tad worried.

Anyway i'll be stuffing those words down the Arse fans throats this weekend.

No it's not, we did it to keep him fit and sharp, the fact that he's English meant it was possible to do.

There is no English quota btw.
