Mourinho on FFP

"When UEFA decided for financial fair play, they were trying to do this to make every team [have] equal possibilities, but the reality is that the big teams, the big clubs, the clubs with more years at the top with more fan base around the world, with more income, are the players that keep being the big spenders," he said.

"So Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern, Manchester [United] -- all these huge teams -- I think they have an advantage."

who would have thought he would say this?

Totally wrong. UEFA and Platini knew exactly what they were doing; the equal playing field argument was rubbish all along. It's particularly rich that the dippers last season and the scum this can 'unfairly' try and hopefully fail to buy their way into the CL. Not a peep from Whinger. How fair is that to Everton?

surprisingly honest assessment from Mourinho. he's not wrong. FFP is anything but fair.

but to claim that Chelsea can't compete in the transfer market anymore is bullshit. Chelsea seem to be the best at flipping players.

One thing about Maureen, he always leaves little doubt in who he's talking about.

..big teams, the big clubs, the clubs with more years at the top with more fan base around the world..

Our chairman basically said that the system was seriously flawed and now Maureen says the same.

Does anybody still believe this isn't aimed at certain clubs, is there actually any doubt?

Yeah but look at the timing of it.

Ffp was working for Chelsea last few seasons because they had funds in place & saleable assets to hit the transfer market heavily & knew it would stop us from making any huge signings. So he talks about City 'cheating' to make sure UEFA are under pressure to sanction us.

Now they have reached a stage where Chelsea have no future advantage, so suddenly he starts talking about FFP.

I don't believe any of these cunts think FFP will stay, I think the whole plan was to try & stop City from racing away, then whilst we have been restrained, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool & rags have all spent shitloads on players in order to try & stick wjth us (they were probably hoping to get well ahead & stay there). It's got fuck all to do with football, it's corruption by a cartel trying to gain a business advantage over a dangerous competitor.

The one good thing is that when FFP is thrown out, and it will be as its basically against European employment law, we will have Uefa and Platini's trousers down legally and see our money back in spades.

I seem to recall a rather thinly veiled threat to this effect from the club in our statement to this effect.

Ted - your assessment of FFP is spot on. Designed by the rich and the haves, to protect them and widen the gap on the rest and anyway trying to break into their select cartel. They've had 20 years of CL money and they want to keep it, and god forbid anyone who wants a piece of it.

The thing is that it is obvious as fuck. We've all been saying it, Samuel has written it, yet they still persist that it's for the good of the game. Maureen, as anybody else, looks after himself and in a way he's going down the same line as last year, getting his little excuses in early just in case it all goes Pete Tong.

As the powers see it, they made the CL and it is them who own it, everybody else it by invite only, which we later found out. It's their proud history that has been made over the last 20 odd years and by no means will they let that fail.

On a similar note, we have the proposed design change of the CL. But what change will it actually make because from where I'm looking it will be exactly the same groups with just a change of who is seeded. Fuck, it could even let the Rags in at the top, if they eventually get back into it.
