Yaya & Fern Apologies??

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Yaya & Fern Apologies??

Postby Nick » Thu Nov 06, 2014 10:29 am

Read somewhere they have said 'sorry' after the game.

Where is this? It's not the site?

Particularly in Yaya's case he should be fined and apologise for dragging our name through the mud throughout the summer and sticking two fingers up to the fans for the majority of performances he puts in on his £200k salary.

Playing next to him in a 2 man central midfield must be one of the worst jobs in football.

I'm sick of players saying what we're going to do on in games or apologising afterwards when it doesn't happen - how about they STF up and actually do something on the pitch rather than twitter.

but this was a confidence issue. clichy before the match pleaded with the fans to get behind the team. Arguably, I thought it would be a decent atmosphere until he was unlucky with a 2 yard handball, yaya goes missing they are 1-0 up inside 2 minutes and every fan thinks ''here we go again''.

I'm surprised we only had a pocket of atmosphere backing the team in such adverse circs (that is what, we, city fans are). Odd block of people singing 'stick uefa up your arse' was all it was. Glad I didn't go or I would have had a heart attack or been on the pitch (like the lad in front of me who ran on to try and 'do' wio).

what's wrong with them apologizing? i believe it's sincere stuff.

They actually give a fuck. And i don't care what anyone says about Yaya...i think he's getting back to his best before December. He's a kettle that's going to roll to a slow boil. I hated his shit from the summer, but...he's our giant massive black cunt, to quote my friend John, and i love him. Two league titles pretty much down to his signing imho. As well as the FA Cup where he basically won the cunting fuck thing on his own. I remember those things. You do too.

cheers

Yep.

The players need to close ranks, STFU and do it on the pitch.

Well dzeko was the one who scored the crucial goals on the way. Or what about the save Hart made in the final? How about that tackle in the 4th round from Barry?

Tell you what, should we just call it a team game?

Actions speak louder than words. Donate whatever it takes from your salary to reimburse those fans who were out of pocket from the away game.

For all the things we moan about in modern football, this is right up there and it's us Doing it.

Why the fuck does every bad performance justify refunds? When we scored 6 and 7 in games last season did they ask people to chip in a bit more that week? Does my head in this sense if entitlement, we either do well or ask for our money back.

Not my idea of support.

Have you read fever pitch by Nick Hornby? He writes about this as well but from back in the seventies. Seems unrelated to the player's level of income as the players back then were making peanuts compared to the wages nowadays, just the fact that they make money for playing football seems to be quite provocative.

I agree with you by the way. I don't think players should pick up the slack for UEFA. Two wrongs don't make a right.

"In my career so far it's the most important goal. You score the goal in the last minute to win the title. You're not sure if that's ever going to happen in your career again. I wish I could tell you how I did it but I can't. I thought for all the world that Mario was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."

mate - we are entitled - people finish work to sit in traffic to turn up to an overpriced must-win europe game; in the freezing cold, no beer or atmosphere to see the players walk a round like they gave zero fucks. If they played with fight and passion and we lost 5-0 then we wouldn't be as angry.
