The Original Special One wrote:Sky commentators confirming what I had been screaming at Hughes to do for the past year: Mancini has spent a lot of time working with our defence, getting their shape, discipline, and organisation right.
Best news I've had all year.

And its already showing

No more full backs spending more time in the opposition half than our own
Centre backs playing where centre backs should play

Forza Roberto!

That is it for me> Discipline!

What was that Mancini song? He comes from Italy, he....???
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

It's clear we were pissing in the wind with Hughes.

Although Benitez has the piss taken out of him for zonal marking I've read quite a few sources that it's actually the best way to mark. If each player does his job it's almost impossible to score. Maybe Benitez' team lacks discipline, unlike ours these days *touches 9 planks of wood*

Elokobi is a monster.
Bit of food for thought, Iweloumo was winning an awful lot in the air at the start, I'm sure McCarthy will have noticed and we might see more of the same in the 2nd half. Also as Sky Sports keep mentioning, our right is a bit bare with Ireland dropping in.
So far, so good though.
