Aguero

I don't care about FFP, interest from Real Madrid or whatever. Pay him £300 grand a week and set his release clause at £1/2 billion

I understand the sentiment, & tongue in cheekness of the op, but what is equally brilliant as Aguero's form, is that we don't actually have to do anything at the moment, as he's just signed a new deal & gone out of his way to make sure everyone knows he has no interest whatsoever in going anywhere, even talking about signing another deal when this one ends.

Fantastic.

Imo what we are seeing, is Aguero fit. I've been going on about it since we signed him, but imo, 80% of the time we have seen Aguero play for City, he has been injured. This Aguero is two yards quicker than the player we watched for most of the last two seasons. We only see this level in short periods, then he's injured.

No telling what he can produce if he stays fit. We haven't seen that many 25/30 yard goals from him for example, like the one he scored v Swansea on debut.

If he stays fit, he can improve his own game & get better in every area week after week (like setting up Jovetic today & Yaya Saturday). If he's carrying an injury, he's just looking to do a job & get through 90 mins.

The Count is pushing him to reach Messi/Ronaldo level. If he avoids significant injuries, I recon he will do it.

If he stays fit and actually plays 36-38 premier league games i think he'll score more than the current 31 record.

He's a goal-a-game striker in this form so if he stays fit the amount of games he plays will be the amount of goals he scores. As Ted mentions, his game is becoming more expansive and he'll probably create as many goals as he scores this season, and all because he's fit and the manager is pushing him (and he's playing in a great team, lest we forget).

Incredible player.

Best debut from a substitute the premier league has ever seen.
That performance showed pure pace, power and awareness in 20 mins.

And for whatever reason since then it's been all about just being a finisher. Until now.

Please God this fella gets a couple of seasons to show everything he can do because he has it all.

Agreed. He showed three things in that game of that stood out for me. He could finish from inside the box, outside the box and he could set up his team-mates for goals. The latter two parts of his game are returning.

He's above last season's Suarez form easily.

Humble,handsom,amazing player,lovely guy.

Whats not to like? He is a marketing dream and the way he is playing at the moment is a joy to behold he will demolish 30 goals in the league this season if he stays fit the little rascal nearly broke the net last night with his equaliser.

Please City keep him fit and on the pitch,i cant believe he is only 25.

Yes his form is just super. He can be up there with the best of them although not quite at Messi level. All fingers and toes crossed that he can stay injury free and fit, that's the key. If he stays fit we will win the league.

The performance against Southampton was one of the best from a striker i think i have ever seen. Certainly for a long time anyway, and he didnt even bag one.

Just fantastic to watch. We are lucky to have him

And for what we paid for him, he's incredibly cheap as well. Alongside Silva, Kompany and Zabaleta, the best signing we have made.

That's the point continually overlooked (deliberately ignored) by the enemy when slagging off City for spending. We had no choice but to spend big on some players early on, as it's the only way we could get them to sign for a non Champions Lg club, & the only way their clubs would let them go. But we did sign some absolute bargains at the same time.

And our 'big' signings, once we became established, have for the most part come in at a much better price & performed at a much higher level, than those of our competitors.

If the rags or Arsenal wanted to sign the best players from our squad now, they wouldn't be able to afford it. But if they were available at the price we paid for them, they would.

On the other hand, most of their signings in the last few years, would leave for much less money than they paid for them. Some already have.

Shows a bit of promise.

If he keeps working at his game, he could do OK for us; useful squad player, in any event.

The great thing now is that he terrifies the Opposition which always has the potential for opening up space for others. Now if Silva can get his shooting boots on when he's back he could be one to profit as could Jovetic.
