Villa v Liverpool

Villa v Liverpool

Who do you want to win this one? Liverpool are probably a spent force now, aiming for a Uefa League place if they are lucky so probably less of a threat than Villa for 4th place. Big bonus is that if Liverpool win we go above Villa on goal difference. Villa though must be favourites and a good win could see the beginning of the end for Benitez.

I wouldn't bet against lucky Liverpool somehow scraping a win in this one despite their current form. The mickeys have always been a bogey side for Villa but then again they've already beaten them once this year so who knows. Certainly a draw would be a decent result for us.

Draw please, but seeing as were five points clear of the scousers if they win it wont be a disaster and will make Villa easier to leap ahead of.

Draw for me too. So wished Villa were still in Europa. Them going out in the first round will mean no collapse like last season and they'll push all the way until May. Maybe MoN lost it on purpose?

Draw, don't want to overtake aston villa by default, plus liverpool fans would claim that they got us into fifth. they aren't a spent force by any means i have no doubt they will recover and maybe win 8-9 games in a row. with those two players you just cannot afford to write them off (lucas and insua obv!)

Dippers for me. Villa are playing very well whereas Benitez seems to have lost the dressing room. The Dippers can gain on us but Villa won't move to far away!

Villa 0-2 Liverpool please.

We have to look up rather than down- Villa are the team directly above us, so I don't want them gaining points. If Liverpool win, we're still two points clear of them with a game in hand, and we go into 2010 sitting in fifth place.

I'd take a draw though.

I'd hate to think that Liverpool are on the march now, after their victory over Wolves, which, by all accounts, flattered them!

BUT

I have Dunne, Milner and Agbonlahor in my fantasy team soooo....

3-0 Villa Milner scores 2 with Dunne assisting both and Agbonlahor grabs the 3rd....perfecto.

I've had Dunney in my FF team for months
So perhaps a scoreless draw would be the perfect solution
(with perhaps another 3 Bonus Points for him)

I agree as great as a draw would be we gotta rely on City keeping up with results rather than others dropping now it's what the top 4 do.

cant understand why some people dont want us to go up a place by default, i would love ''pool to win today and us to go into 2010 in 5th! we are then 5th with 3 points on liverpool and our destiny in our own hands!

Draw please, better 2 of our rivals drop 2 points each than 1 rival drops 3. And don't forget how badly Villa faded last season, Liverpool still more likely to be challenging for 4th come the end of the season.

Agree, definitely a draw would be the best result.
