I'm sorry, I'm shite at putting pics etc. up.

Can someone tell me wtf is going on with the rooney v aguero stats that are doing the rounds on facebook?

That rooney has scored and assisted more goals in the same amount of games since aguero joined?!

Something's not right there...

Those are a bit dated (or even false?), the current numbers are

Premier League:

Aguero 85 apps, 66 goals, 19 assists, 7179 min
Rooney 91 apps, 61 goals, 26 assists, 8226 min

All club competitions:

Aguero 142 apps, 94 goals, 40 assists, 9878 min
Rooney 130 apps, 74 goals, 49 assists, 10642 min

Am shocked Shrek has so many to be honest. If I didn't know I'd have said he scored about 50ish.

Be a nice Xmas present if Kun can get to his century

Aguero is light years ahead of Ronaldo.

Fucking hell, there you go again...
By all means there's an argument that atm Aguero is playing as well if not better than Ronaldo and I would tend to agree with that. But to say he's light years ahead of him, is pure bullshit.

I agree lightyears is mental...however if I could get Aguero in this form or Ronaldo in current form i'd honestly choose Aguero. Think he's more of a handful and a marginally better player when he's like that.

It's a tough one. We all know how good Ronaldo is and he's played at the very highest standard now for what must be 5-6 years. He's also got am aerial threat that Sergio doesn't and is 'lightyears' better at shooting from distance and set pieces. Aguero can reach that level IF he stays injury free but he still has a long way to go to be considered in that light.

Atm the way Sergio is playing, picking up the ball and taking on and ghosting past players, he's more like Messi than Ronaldo. Would I swap them? Probably not no but I don't think there'd be a huge amount of difference to either team if they swapped.

Messi and Ronaldo are without doubt the two greatest players of recent years and they've both done it for so long also. Imo they're not going to get any better though whereas Sergio imo has not reached his limit yet.

Although I hate him with a passion and although he's a one trick pony, I would still put Robben in the same category. He's been performing consistently at a very high standard for quite a few years now. And even though the defenders know exactly what he's going to do (cutting in on the inside) they still can't stop him.
In my opinion Robben carries Bayern in many respects.

As much as I would love to be wrong I can't see our serg at messi or even tranny level.
I don't think he ever will be. ( suit of armour now put on) lol.
Meesi is number 1 tranny is 2 then there is a group which contains Sergio, robben, Suarez etc etc.

I think that's fair comment in the last few seasons. Robben has also been better than all 3 in International football when it comes down to the serious stuff.

Any twat comparing Rooney to Aguero is missing the point completely; Aguero has rarely been fit. When Aguero is fit, he is up there with the best.

Interesting that Zabba said the same re the World Cup, which has slipped under the radar; that he thinks Aguero may have won them the World Cup if he had been fit. Fair comment. But it proves what we always fear; that these people are playing our players in their teams when they should not be playing. Zabba himself was the same imo & is still suffering, Fernandinho, Kompany, Jovetic, Dzeko; thay are all being used in international games when they are not fit to play, then sent back to us.

I don't think it matters whether Aguero is as good as Messi or the Tranny (even if such a comparison were like for like, which it isn't). He's brilliant and he plays for us.

Good call
"I used to be 6 foot 2 with curly hair, look what it's done to me"

"In my career so far it's the most important goal. You score the goal in the last minute to win the title. You're not sure if that's ever going to happen in your career again. I wish I could tell you how I did it but I can't. I thought for all the world that Mario was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."

This sums up my view as well.

As frustrating as it is, this is why Aguero may not ever reach the Tranny, Messi level. Nothing to do with talent, purely injuries. Such a shame. Every time he looks like he's becoming unstoppable he gets injured.
