We won the league without Kun for the most part last season. So grow a fucking pair.

If it's his ACL then he would be perfectly capable of walking on it, and you can't do any more damage to one that's been ruptured.

Having done one and not known it for a few months after, walking/running isn't necessarily a positive sign.

Grow a pair? It's basic common sense to have concern when a player like Sergio gets injured .

Looking at the way it happened to me barry actually left his leg in there for sergio, barry for me should have walked for numerous incidents, a player like barry that has played for this club should have a bit more respect for the players, hes played with.

He wouldn't have been crying if it was a minor injury. He knows his body better than anybody else. He'll be out for the season, ACL gone, and our title hopes gone with it.

Don't be ridiculous, fair enough his individual brilliance has carried us at times when we've played poorly but when this team is on form we are title challengers with or without Aguero.

If he is out long term it will be hugely damaging to our season. We have nobody who can come anywhere near replacing him.
Here's hoping it's not as bad as feared, but i agree it does not look good.

Yes he did sounds like he is on a bit of a downer, which is a bit 'knee jerk' (sorry but it's exactly the right terminology to use) of him to say the least!

It's understandable that Aguero should be reduced to tears, he's in the form of his life, he's pumped up for the game and all of a sudden as a player who has been beset by injury in recent seasons is brought crashing down to earth again - lots to be emotional about. It doesn't necessarily tell us how bad his injury is - medial, lateral or ACL or indeed something else like a patella, all of which will have varying recovery periods.

With an ACL rupture as some have mentioned in this thread, you do hear a loud pop if it goes so you have a fair idea, however you also have pockets of air in the knee, which can also create a similar sound when other knee injuries occur such as a medial ligament tear, so it isn't 100% clear as a means of determining a type of injury.

I suspect the medical team will already have a very good idea as to what is the most likely injury. Bringing the knee into an upright position whilst sitting or laying down, clasping hands around the back of the calf and giving the leg a small (and careful) jolt is one way of determining if it might be an ACL thats gone

Don't take it personally, but you're not worth about £60m.

All things considered, I'd have expected him to be wafted off on a golden sled pulled by unicorns rather than made to hobble past the away fans and if I owned the place, the physio would have been getting an awkward phone call this morning.

IF it is ACL, my biggest fear is not this season, but if he will ever be the same again. Let's hope it turns out to be better news than expected

However, last year we looked brilliant, rather than he looked brilliant and the rest just pass to him. We also had Negredo. Now we have Dzeko, Jovetic for 1 game in 3 and a Spaniard who looked like he'd won a competition to play up front for the day. He doesn't have the pace or strength to play up front on his own yet and that was against a defence that had probably never seen a video of him.

We need Silva back ASAP and the likes of Yaya and Nasri really need to step up. With all the games in December, we need to find an answer to playing with Kun now. We've looked pretty good since the Bayern game, but he's been a big part of it. We looked good for most of yesterday, but quite toothless, so someone else needs to take on the goalscoring.

Aguero has a serious knee injury and is out for 6 months. That's the latest "breaking" news from LiveSport.co.uk. Does anyone know if they are a credible source?

Quite often you have to wait two or three days for the swelling to come down before you can get a reliable scan. There may be suspicions based on any popping sound the player heard and the extent of pain and swelling but only a scan can be completely definitive I would have thought. 6 months out would presumably mean an operation on the ACL. Let's keep positive.
