I know personnel has changed but lets have it right. We are the current Champions of England with talent oozing out of every part of our first team squad and a good number of the EDS.

The midfield will just have to chip in with a few goals more, and maybe work on set pieces a bit better, but we have goals throughout the team, not just Kun. After all, we aren't a one man team, are we?

Aguero has 19 of our 41 goals in all comps. a shade under 50%. so others are scoring goals…hopefully we can pick up the slack

no way nycfc let's villa go on loan then when they are already publicly stating they want lampard back when his loan is finished.

It will all depend of how much will Sergio be out, but sooner than later, we need to buy a new striker.

Bony and Benteke are not solutions imho, they are B players, we need a striker to play alongside Sergio for the next season. Jojo is that man, but he will never be fit to play in those games, week in week out.

There is only one striker out there that will be perfect for our squad: Gonzalo Higuain. But to buy the argie, we need to invest and with the FFP, the chances of that happening now are beyond slim.

So plan B is simple: Pozo.

Benteke's a really good player who's plenty good enough to be our fourth striker. If Aguero is out for a long time we either give up on the League title which would be mad or we need belatedly to replace Negredo. If anyone comes in at all in January it will surely be a striker and I would personally favour someone who is proven premiership and can make an immediate impact.

That we do, and we could make it happen but i just don't think we will just cos it'd undermine the launch of NYCFC too much i reckon.

I agree with Ted in the assessment of not buying someone for the sake of it and if it means a potless year then so be it. That said, I do like the jib of Bony at Swansea. At the moment he is everything I'd like Dzeko to be

Its not as simple as that though; negredo got a portion of those goals and made others for the rest. Dzeko hasn't scored this season (?), goals have dried up from the like of vince, martin, nasri, navas etc and for me, while we didn't play badly against everton; we were nowhere near the previous 3-4 games. Why is that? For me the aguero injury shook the other lads a bit.

That's probably fair comment about the injuries affecting the others. Our next five games are all against lower half opposition, games we should win, and games that should be won if we are to be champions again. The loss of Kun for this period, though potentially bad, could've been a lot worse. Chances are by New Year we might even top the table

We don't 'own them' - our owners own a majority share in them and own us.
If we had De Gea and the rags had Hart, we'd be top with a 9 point lead and they'd be in 12th place - that's the difference between a 'good' keeper and a 'top class' keeper - 12 places - think about it.

Wrong. Manchester City Football Group, own them.

Note the words 'Manchester City' in the title.

I'm talking bollocks there it's 'City' but it's the same thing. It's City who are running this, not an outside operation.

We probably will get someone in but I'd love it if we just relied on the resources we have.

I love it when the lesbian plays as a number 10. I reckon him and Jojo could do some damage.

this is understood, but of course we are aware co-owned is not the same as owned. the other owners (the yankees) have their own agenda, even if city is generally on board with their plan. villa and lampard are their best players, easily. as we also know this is the inaugural season for the club. i'd gather they want them to be well acquainted with things there to start the mls season to make a splash as much as possible.

the rumours about lampard staying with us longer, i believe, has been partially about nycfc being able to conduct pre-season training in manchester. that is a few weeks maximum i believe.

mls preseason training is usually at the end of january into mid/late february.

difficult to see such a move as plausible after that. maybe villa joins for a short spell, but not past january. somehow i doubt it as it could make us look bad. hope i am wrong as we could probably use him.

--------Dzeko
Nasri--Silva--Milner

And pray nobody gets injured until Kun returns. Can't be buying players in Jan unless it's someone we'd genuinely be signing in the summer. Pozo, Jovetic and potentially Ihenacho can provide adequate cover.
