Apparently he had a scan today. I think the reports we are hearing are either 'leaked' or just gossip. Either way, we should wait for official news as u suggest.

If he had a scan today then he will have to wait four weeks before getting a choose and book appointment to go see a consultant. He will have spent most of today on the phone trying to make said appointment and if he managed to get one it won't be till February.

Then when he arrives, they will have lost his records & have no idea who he is.

If you were in America they'd have treated him on the field and then billed him 50k after he's already paid about 12k a year for benefits. Its all about access and options. Ahem.

However, last year we looked brilliant, rather than he looked brilliant and the rest just pass to him. We also had Negredo. Now we have Dzeko, Jovetic for 1 game in 3 and a Spaniard who looked like he'd won a competition to play up front for the day. He doesn't have the pace or strength to play up front on his own yet and that was against a defence that had probably never seen a video of him.

We need Silva back ASAP and the likes of Yaya and Nasri really need to step up. With all the games in December, we need to find an answer to playing with Kun now. We've looked pretty good since the Bayern game, but he's been a big part of it. We looked good for most of yesterday, but quite toothless, so someone else needs to take on the goalscoring.

It depends on the extent of the injury to Kun, of course. But our next run of 6 league games is the easiest (in theory) run of games we have this season. It should give us time to sort it our whilst picking up plenty of points. If it's a short-term injury we'll have him back, if not we'll have January in which to bring someone in (perhaps on loan). Our only threat this year is Chelsea, and if that dirty bastard up front gets an injury then they are worse off than us. We're still in this title race whatever the case with Kun is, although we'd obviously be in with a better chance if he recovers quickly.

Indeed; don't panic until we have to.

Mail tomorrow says Kun has told friends he's out for a month. Could be his agent on the blower. Other papers say 4-6 weeks.

If it's 30 days then it could be one of those weird blessing in disguise things in hindsight.

We have (arguably) a relatively easy run of games coming up, compared to the start we had anyway, with top players all returning to fitness shortly and others who are fit reaching their A game finally meaning we should be able to cope. It'll also mean maybe a couple of youngsters (pozo, maybe even barker or ambrose) might get the odd spot on the bench and experience something that they probably wouldn't have experienced for another year or so, thus quickening their development and sending a pretty welcome feel good factor across that new bridge into the newly opened CFA which would undoubtedly be a huge incentive for the rest of the kids.

It also will give time to Jovetic and Dzeko to build up a bit of an understanding.

So yeah, it could perversely (hypothetically speaking) do us a weird favour if you wanna look at it in a positive light. Obviously its all based on hearsay and it might not be as simple as that but ya never know.

Yes apparently argentine Journo, The relevant tweet translates as follows:
"The injury he suffered Kun Agüero is a strained medial collateral ligament in his left knee. 30 days without playing."

BREAKING NEWS...sort of...

http://www.theguardian.com/football/201 ... ons-league

The club is relieved Agüero has not suffered more serious damage after leaving the Etihad Stadium field in tears. The Argentinian has suffered distension of the lateral ligament of his left knee, according to reports in his homeland, with it being claimed the 19-goal striker could be ruled out for up to seven weeks.

wow, can't believe i am happy to read this...and this is surely no great news, but may of us feared he was out for the year, and maybe never to recover from this for his career...

C'mon Rural, you've been around this place for long enough to know that some of these guys are worse than old women at a garden fence with their gossip and speculation...:-)

My favourite was learning that a £60M player has a differently designed knee to other humans. I wonder how different his knee was when he was only £20M.
and poor Xavi wouldn't have a clue, he only experienced the whole deal with his 50p knee.

Soz Xavi....but I just had to laugh at that!
