It's his thousand mile stare that gets me - he looks THROUGH people, very strange.

Hope someone posts a video of it somewhere. Sounds like a great watch. Bet Mr Book can't believe what he's seeing, just like the rest of us.

Ched Evans is left off the list of academy graduates? That's a bit petty isn't it, especially as it seems nailed on he's gonna have his conviction overturned

Was there any mention of 'Empty Seats' or 'Getting Bored'?

Driving home tonight, I switched over to the radio to find out how Southampton were doing against the Scum. I made the grave mistake of listening to Talkspite where there was a rabid, voluminous harangue by the vile woman beater Collymore.

It sounded something like a Josef Goebbels rant, insofar as it was, purportedly for the good of football, slagging off "the big clubs" (although only City and Chelsea were actually mentioned by name) for running showpiece Academies and "hoovering up" footballing talent from far and wide, just to discard young players when they were found to be not good enough.

In the gospel according to Saint Stan, "big clubs" should be "honest" and dismantle their Academies as they never, ever produce first team players and, instead, they should just buy players in from the "smaller" clubs who did run "successful" Academies. Collymore also berated and denigrated the benefits which City's new complex was giving to the local economy and to residents in that area.

A Chelsea fan came on the air at one point and proceeded to clinically dissect his 'arguments' and all that 'Motor Mouth' could do in response was to screech even louder until the guy was eventually cut off.

All in all, it was pretty much tub-thumpingly stomach churning fare in a tone which wouldn't have been out of place at a Nurenburg rally, prior to 1939. However, in the relatively short time I was listening, it didn't get the response from listeners that 'Stan the gob' must have been hoping for, as very few people rang in to even 'discuss' the topic with him and although Collymore and his sidekick were calling for City fans to come on air with them, none did (at least not whilst I was listening).

At the end of the day, it exemplified even further, the media agenda which is directed against City and just showed how more and more 'afraid' (for want of a better word) they all must be feeling. On that basis, it was both amusing and farcical, especially as the day is coming when our talented youngsters will start playing and making a name for themselves in the first team.

At that stage, humble pie will be the order of the day for the media and I hope it chokes them one and all.
