In the first half Zaba was shit. I don't think it was unfair to say that. When he scored I made a little joke at my expense which was fair enough.

Wasn't unfair, he wasn't at his impenetrable best in the second half either, he got turned inside out, back in and then back out again by Ljajic at one stage in second half, only poor finishing spared his blushes.

That said, his attacking play was top drawer, the timing of his runs are excellent. Second only to Lampard in the squad I think for timing.

I thought Zabba was poor, but as I said at the time; he won't give up.

He could do with about 2 months off imo.

We need to freshen up the team at the weekend and Sagna should probably come in for Zaba. Pellegrini said Vinny should be available so he could replace MDM. Yaya will be back and Silva can start. Jovetic may start but has Dzeko got any gas left for the weekend? Whatever we should have enough to dispatch Leicester with all respect to them.

I'd let Kompany have another week off. It's not urgent that we bring him back for the Leicester game and I, for one, would be happy to see last night's central-defensive partnership given another run-out at the weekend.

Perfectly fair point Peter. I just wonder whether a 33 year old De Michelis could do with a rest after last night's exertions. Maybe he doesn't. I think we need to avoid a leggy performance against a Leicester side desperate for points.

MDM shouldn't need a rest. He's not played an insane amount and he looks fine.

Couldn't help but ask if a mature male like meself needs to spend a couple hundred quid, 2 days and listen to forty somethings chant "you'll never take the kippax" while trying to bang the bus windows out. Then the match starts, the plot unfolds, the two F's are immense, everyone is on their game and we get our just rewards, so a memorable night in a memorable town. The walk through Rome in the half light about 1 a m was fantastic.Just about recovered and a few cheques in the post help, lol.

Got turned too many times, was probably one of the weaker links in the team. Late game he attacked well and good run for the goal, but a poor game by his standards.

Thought that Belgian lad Nanngollen (or however you spell it, call him Bill) was outstanding.

Yes, I thought bill was outstanding too (Kangollen was it?). Well done to all those that made the trip btw, the support sounded fantastic.

or just Radja.

surely he should be in the Belgian midfield with De Bruyne, Hazard, and Witsel (the mainstays and 3/5 first names on team sheet).

And if you don't believe Ted, go and look at the 1974 Derby game (on Youtube) in which we relegated them at the theatre of debt. Jesus wept.
