Champions League draw

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Two areas of concern for me :
1.Would a ref really allow us to beat Barca?
2.The first leg is at home as it was last season. That was possibly the most drab footballing encounter I can remember.

I am sure Yaya was only banned for the two games. Not sure you get a three game ban in champions league for a sending off.

Its defo a fix. What are the odds on us drawing Munich every year, CSKA and Barca.

Its not only the ref. we will most certainly see a master-class in cheating, diving, faking injuries, acting the cunt, giving the ref grief etc etc from them. Big question is will we wise up to, handle and overcome it. If we do, coupled with a brave performance, then we have a very decent chance.

We're going to beat them at some point, they aren't as powerful as last year. Let's be up for ir.

I prefer a draw like that.

We win it's great, we lose it's no surprise.

This time, we need to remember that we were more of a threat with 10 men, than we were with 11.

So get after them.

If Yaya is missing I don't see it as a problem as it would guarantee the 2 F's sitting in midfield which I would see as essential anyway. Then if we have all or most of the players available we can beat them. It would be very sad if their front 3 all got long term injuries though wouldn't it.

I'm all for going after them but we need to do so sensibly. If we play Yaya ( if it is just a two match suspension) and Fernandinho on their own in central midfield we'll be playing into their hands. We can be very aggressive with Aguero up front on his own as long as we have Silva Navas Yaya etc backing him up. Go for them in a smart way and we can win this. Go hell for leather and we'll leave ourselves wide open to Messi Neymar and Suarez. There'll only be one outcome.

I can't understand any City fan isn't excited about playing Barcelona in the CL. Would you rather watch us playing Barca or fucking Hull?

Terribly.

If it manages to coincide with Aguero being 100% fit, & playing like he was doing, then I think we will beat them at our place (assuming we have now decided we can play in Europe & aren't going to go back to being bottlers).

If Aguero is only half fit, or missing, then I expect we will probably struggle.

Anything could happen at their place, if we beat them at ours.

You have to play the best to be the best. so long as we have a fucking go this time and not give them a second on the ball we should come close. were the champions of england so lets play like it.

F8cking hell not Barcelona again. If the players are not up for this then they should be sold in the summer! Lets hope the ref is decent this time.
