Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Don't have a problem with Henry joining their team. He was great at the world cup for the beeb and i actually think he'll be as impartial as Neville tries to be.

None of them are supposed to 'represent' anyone. And the key there is; 'tries to be'. He tries a bit, to be impartial with City or Liverpool, but even if he criticises Utd, he ALWAYS finds a positive to push, as in 'they will spend millions' , 'they are playing badly but will get better'. With City it's always 'if they lose here, it's all over' 'if Aguero is injured it's all over' etc etc.

People saying we don't have a representative, Platt & Marwood were never off fucking Sky until they started working for us, then they were phased out. They brought back Platt when he left us & he didn't have one bad word, so they fucked him off.

Have they even ASKED Vieira ?

They are increasing the Chelsea contingent as well now with cunts like Gullit slagging us off.

There are fucking 100s of ex City players who are better on tv than Alan Smith.

When was Marwood on TV?! Marwood's never gonna be on TV on a matchday for us is he? I'd guess he'd have other more important commitments.

I hear what you're saying but i've still not heard a good example. Doesn't Vieira work for ITV too? I genuinely can't think of 100s of ex city players who are great on TV. I can't really think of five. Very happy to be proven wrong.

Your argument has no merit so long as Alan Smith is in a job. He has no personality, misses every incident as a commentator & calls Silva DaSilva. He is fucking useless.

Marwood used to give City a right slagging as a commentator then his career was over when we employed him. Platt the same. Any ex City player who gets a job, has a background in one of the cartel teams.

Hinchcliffe works for Sky. Not one City game.

He is 100% right, they are just treading on each other's toes.

So why is Carragher there ? Because Liverpool need a representative to balance out Neville. No other reason.

This thread has got a bit off topic, but interesting nevertheless.

What about Kevin Keegan as a City related pundit? I know he is also strongly associated with Liverpool and Newcastle but he has sympathies for us I'm sure.

Redknapp is more Spurs rep who can moonlight as a Liverpool pundit as they're his 2nd favourite.

When LVG gets sacked, they will probably try to get Giggs on there, & add Gerrard to balance him out.

I started the topic; it's about Henry joining Sky to add to the 20 pro Arsenal pundits they have already.

Kk is probably too lazy.

Even when he looks at a replay he usually can't see what's happened.

I was just imagining if it had been Everton who had won the league twice in 3 years. Joe Royle & Peter Reid would never be off the screen.

What about Niall Quinn, Paul Walsh, and Rodney Marsh. They have all played for City and now work in some form of Punditry, they're just not very good at it.

Niall Quinn had his anti-City period but seems to be cured. Walshy was very anti-City and loved Liverpool and Spurs, also seems to be a bit cured. Marsh used to ridicule us with a passion, but now is our biggest fan.

(Sorry my bad ;), I was drawn by the thread title which I thought implied the thread was about solving our striker problem in January?)

You may be right about KK. He lives nearby and I see him out walking with family from time to time, perhaps he feels he doesn't need the money? Shame as he's a well respected player and pundit.

Joe Royle has sympathy with us but he's probably more Everton. Ditto, Frank Lampard for the future and Chelsea.

Gareth Barry and Joleon Lescott may be future pundits?

Gabby is the thickest cunt to grace the game.

Hats off Mr. Parker!

OT - IMO the foreign pundits aren't half as cutting, or interesting for that matter... so while Henry probably won't be a total cunt, he certainly won't be balancing things out.

I would actually love to see Bellamy doing that.

Dunno how many of you recall, but he was in the studio at City - Scouse 2-2 in 2013. His performance was same as on the pitch.

A delight.

I know the video, i had the same opinion + after i've heard he named his son Gabriel Agbonlahor Jr, i was convinced he is really a knobhead, but later on, i've heard him talk a thew times on Talksport, if i recall (i will try and search the link) and my opinion changed 180 %. When it comes to football, he knows his stuff, really good.

Will never forgive him for 'the hand of frog' incident, utter, utter cunt. He can va-va-get fucked as far as I'm concerned.

As for ex City players, Uwe is at a loose end at the minute, always comes across very well in front of the camera.
