When he is really fit, he is class, lovely movement, attitude, etc, but i think there is a reason why Pellers is not forcing him, but don't know what.

Today i think he was convinced he would do just fine, but our manager was wrong.

The reason I believe he was wrong is because we know how he plays. Jovetic looks for fast inter-play and wants to move the ball towards goal. Nothing wrong with that at all but after a heavy game at Brom it was obvious that our legs were going and we needed to get a hold of the ball.

It could be that Pellers was taking advice of the physio's and they were saying that Milner needed a rest. He may also have thought that by putting Jovetic on it would move the game back to us or we wcould've scored another to kill them off. It didn't work and I'd have preferred for Milner to stay on. In fact, my son asked me if Jovetic was on and I said 'No chance, Pellers isn't that stupid', then all of a sudden, he was there. Shouldn't have popped out for a fag.

Jovetic was a whisker away from winning the game & did absolutely fine imo.

Milner has been running his balls off & wouldn't have been asked to start the game, apart from; he's Milner so he can do it. Was always very likely he would be replaced by Jovetic, whatever the score.

Perfect sense all round.

Edit: apart from, it should have been kids in place of Sinclair. Would back Brandon Barker/Ambrose vs Ben Mee, at home, with my life.

The first thing of note he did when he came on was throw himself on the floor. I don't like this shit in other teams' players and I wish he'd cut it out.

Milner fluffed his lines , END of.

He should not be playing in that role ffs !! and before you say who else is there , well there's other options available, Jovetic was on the bench and he looked fine to me, if your fit then fuckign play, as he's just as likely to get injured again after one minute as well as 60 minutes.

Ambrose has been playing well according my mates , there's no way we were going to get away with playing Milner 3 games on the trot in that position , he is not a forward and his attempts at scoring were shit.
Not his fault , as he plays anywhere he gets told to play , its fuckign Pellers fault.

And I bet a pound to a penny , there was fuckall wrong with Yaya.....that's spin to keep the masses from going berserk.

We chanced it once too often. Leaving a fit striker on the bench when we didn't have anybody else was foolish. And did we really need to take on Burnley at home with two defensive midfielders?
Pellers underestimated Burnley with that team selection.

This makes no sense.

We were two up vs Burnley, with Milner on the pitch. Jovetic was fine when he came on.

Neither were the problem. We let two shit goals in & struggled quite a bit in midfield & defence.

No relevance in the rest.

Posted this in the match day thread but feels more fitting in here..

Does anyone get the impression that Jovetic is never really gonna find his niche in this City side? He's been here for a long time now, year and a half, and i know he's had injuries but he still feels very much on the outside and when he comes on he looks like a new player still who doesn't have a settled aura in the team. I think he's got a lot of talent and i like him but i just can't imagine a scenario where he's part of our first XI consistently. It's like something hasn't clicked yet and i can't see how or when that's gonna happen and that he'll forever be an outsider in the team. Certainly feels that way to me sadly.

Totally agree. He's like a talented kid on the playground, full of flicks and tricks, but like that kid he never knows when to use them.
I think twosips is correct he tries so hard to impress his team-mates, and that to me smacks of insecurity and a feeling of still trying to justify his place in our squad.

That is why he needs to go, simple as that.

Talent? Huge. Fitness? Zero. A constant gamble we cannot affort.

I really wonder what is wrong with him. I mean, if you watch his instagram photos, he looks really fit, his body looks great, muscles ok (like Micah), but he is a constant sicknote and i am really curious why we signed him, why didn't our doctors look into his feet problems.

And this is sad because he actually is one of the players we have that like to shoot from a distance, instead of passing

Agreed , he is a player who hasn't fitted into the way we play / set up . Don't think he wants to be here aswell ........ good time to get rid of him and Kolarov and maybe get one quality player in during January which could make a real difference to our squad .
