Journo friend saying it's a done deal. He's been right on a fair few things for various North East (and other) clubs a couple of hours before they're announced, and he's a Newcastle fan.

What's the deal with his Newcastle contract/finances? Will Ashley's issues with Rangers have affected this in any way?

Pulis in talks at WBA but he wants overall control and a free hand in transfers apparently . WBA chairman seems to buy the players and have a say in other managerial issues reading between the lines on SSN ........ very strange set up there !

pulis is merely walking around the club shop while sherwood is giving a powerpoint presentation with personalised illuminous pens.

Blimey, there are actually quite a few Geordies who WANT Steve Bruce as manager!

There are some who want Peter Beardsley. So long as they look at the world with this parochial vision they'll never get anywhere. Reminds me of us when we appointed Pearce.

In a choice between Bruce or Pulis, who is the lesser of the evils?

Neither thrilling. But Pulis doesn't leave clubs destroyed in the way Bruce has

Pulis actually got Palace playing some decent stuff last season and did a great job there in terms of results.
It may not be pretty but he might be exactly what Newcastle need, someone to make them hard to beat and more consistent. He'd have a better set of players too.(A lesser version of what Mancini did with us perhaps).

He's done a good job with his last few clubs has Pulis and they could do a lot worse.

Martinez must be looking over his shoulder at the moment. Lucky for him Kenwright doesn't like change so is unlikely to do anything. They are gash though

Reports that Leicester have dispensed with Pearson. Reckon Bruce dodged a bullet this weekend. Hopefully he will be down the dole office soon.

Well it certainly won't be Sam 'Total Football' Alleycat. Maybe it'll be Louis 'The Long-Ball' Van PanFace.
