Stoke hit the post after having a stonewall penalty turned down.
Got late Rags winner written all over this.

Is it the same bloke who booked Aguero at Southampton?

Or is the bloke who refused us five decent penalty shouts in the derby?

The second one.

That series of decisions is enough to bring his impartiality into question, I feel.

Good picture on Twitter of Moyes scratching his head saying to himself 'how the fuck does Van Gaal keep getting away with this?'

Rooney is actually complaining to him.

Stoke were better at times in the 2nd half. At times.

Rags' usual stuffiness sees them through. When you consider the miss by Diouf, the penalty & the header off the post. So many big breaks in one game. We will lose comfortably if we put in the exact same performance.

Even with Stokes late resurgence the Rags still had 66% possession but only managed 6 shots with only 2 being on target. The conditions were terrible and the ball needed to be knocked around on the floor, not hoofed over the top. Having the forward players they have, and at a huge cost, you'd be forgiven to think that they could actually play the ball to each other.

Shite game, pathetic showing from the Rags. Hughes will be fuming though, after that obvious penalty was just waved away.

I seem to ask myself this question a lot and don't know/have forgotten the answer. Ex rag players as managers of other teams , have any ever beat them. If so who and how often. (Fondly remembering Sven's 100% record)

I see the Dippers are getting more help from the ref's, after the Sterling call:

PENALTY to Liverpool

Liverpool 0-0 Leicester

Posted at 15:16: Oh dear! Raheem Sterling cuts back a cross which strikes Wes Morgan in the face - and a penalty is given for handball. That is a rotten call.

And another one:

15:38 Another handball, another penalty! This is a bit more clear cut as Danny Simpson sticks out a hand to stop a Philippe Coutinho cross. Still a bit harsh mind...

Pity the powers that be don't, they've been gifted the lead by the ref. Just noticed it's Mike Jones refereeing the game, from Chester!

Half-time scores (or none in somecases):

Aston Villa 0 - 0 Crystal Palace
Hull 2 - 0 Everton
Liverpool 2 - 0 Leicester
Man City 0 - 0 Sunderland
Newcastle 2 - 1 Burnley
QPR 1 - 0 Swansea
Southampton 1 - 0 Arsenal
West Ham 1 - 1 West Brom

Martinez could be getting the sack at this rate. Good to see the Saints winning the Wenger Cup battle, hopefully they'll go on to win it.
