MotM v Sunderland

Postby Beefymcfc » Thu Jan 01, 2015 5:03 pm

They gave it Super Fat Frank on BT but I'd personally have gone for Yaya. A few contenders though and Dave was great again.

What a game.

Went for Fernandinho.

Thought he done really well breaking up the play and charging forward. linked well with Yaya when cutting down on the spaces in midfield. Really should have buried that chance though

Has to be Yaya for me. He tends to do 3 main things. Controls games from a deepish position, slows the game down in doing the control bit but then has that special ability to unlock a defence with a pass or score a special goal. He is a special player.

Yaya for me too. His goal changed the game. We needed a moment of magic since I couldn't see where the goal was going to come from and he provided it

Pants was outstanding, but I thought Navas worked his ass off, great again defensively shame he doesn't score more. Mangala had a good game, coincidence Clichy was next to him, btw, two outstanding assists today

Navas just edges Clichy for me. Navas was excellent at both ends of the park and really played above himself at times.

Clichy never really gets a lot of love but two terrific crosses for goals especially when we expect nothing 'offensively' from him.

Cakeboy for me too. He has been back to his best for a few weeks now, and together with Silva and Nasri excerpts a control over midfield which must be exhausting to play against.

I've gone for Clichy. Two excellent crosses for goals and Managala looked a different player having Clichy playing outside him.
