Should Jovetic Start Today?

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

I purr when I see stuff like that.
"I used to be 6 foot 2 with curly hair, look what it's done to me"

"In my career so far it's the most important goal. You score the goal in the last minute to win the title. You're not sure if that's ever going to happen in your career again. I wish I could tell you how I did it but I can't. I thought for all the world that Mario was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."

I think I've seen two players in the last years who have scored goals with their back heels after such hard crosses, one being Carlos Tevez and the other Eduardo. Wow.

Created the first goal, took the second sublimely and put navas in one v one . Not sure why he was taken off, was looking very dangerous.

because he's the only "fit" striker we have right now and he gets injured all the time so Pellegrini was being smart and not tasking any risks

Perhaps but he was really looking in the mood and we were only winning by one .

And that's why he should start instead of Milner !!

Thought he looked like he was gonna score again until they took him off which was a shame. But I appreciate the point that he hasn't played a great deal lately and is our only fit striker. Super finish.

Game won, hook him off. That's what I was expecting from him against Burnley. Thirty minutes to get into the game and then start playing with a bit more composure.

He only came on with 30 mins left to play in the Burnley game and if he had fucking started instead of Milner started then maybe we would all be pissing ourselves laughing top of the league and slowly pulling away from Chelsea......

He made a goal and scored one today.....excellent.

Jovetic was probably not deemed fit enough for the full 90 minutes.

I don't think the Count ever contemplated or will contemplate playing Milner as a striker ahead of a fit Jovetic.

I can't blame Pellegrini for the decision to ease Jovetic back after his injury, and it was obviously not what cost us the match. Poor refereeing, overall complecensy and abysmal defending did.

This.

If he was confident of his fitness, he would have left him on longer today. He was just getting the tricks out & looking full of confidence when they took him off.

If only he could stay fit. I maintain, he is a grade 'A' player. A star.

We haven't even scratched the surface & I'm not sure we will.

If he can stay fit and get a run of games going I think he will prove he is a good player, he will never get a better chance than he has now.

I never saw this during the game but when I watched the highlights I realized he nutmegged O'shea with a back heel to set up Navas for a shot.

He is something special. I'm not saying that he's definitely going to be a star in the highest bracket but he does bring something special and something that I don't think many other players have. That has to be worth something.
