Owl talk

Only six games to another trophy for the cabinet, and an old school view from the away end. Fantastic sense of humour from the Wednesday fans this week, and a genuine desire for a great day out, and decent performance regardless of the score. Its back to work on Monday, and I am just hoping to be going with a big smile on my face.

Now COME ON CITY !!!

Team Selection

Westwood
Palmer Lees Loovens Dielna
Maguire Lee Semedo Maghoma Helan
Nuhiu

My favourite

Cracking game this (v Sunderland), Lampard showing what a great player he is. Nowhere near a full house, obviously City fans saving there hard earned money for a more attractive game coming up.

And the rest...

Lets park the bus and take it to a replay.

Please City don't thrash us, we don't want a repeat of last time we had a bit of momentum.

3-1 City. Lampard 2, Jovetic . May for us.

We'll win. Our 19th goal of the season will see us put City to the sword.

86-0

Going for a 2-2 draw last minute goal from our goalkeeper.

2-1 Wednesday!!!

No chance…4-0 to City

Force a replay, and then spend the money earned on a couple of loan signings.

They'll be overconfident after last time which will work in our favour so I'm going to go for just 6-0 this time.

Would love us to get a draw, and get them back to Hillsborough.

Went to the first game and watched city today, the biggest threat is Lampard he basically plays as a centre forward. But if we pick our best 11 and all of them have a blinder u never know, burnley nicked a draw and Sunderland nearly did. In reality we should get spanked but football is full of surprises and Wednesday never fail to surprise good and bad

C'mon Wednesday be brave and become heroes

It will be either…Embarrassing or very embarrassing. You'll all weep when Stu hands the team sheet in and realise that we have surrendered before we kick a ball.

Couldn't care less if it was 1-0 or 7-0 to City as long as it does not take us 12 games or so to recover again afterwards. Hope SG gives us a fighting chance with the strongest line up which shouldn't be too difficult giving how many players we have left.

Hopefully muppet Gray won't play a weakened side this time and damage the teams confidence,  Lets have a go, we have nothing to lose.

Anywho, here is the plan: Team coach breaks down on the Mancunian Way (it has to be there, because that's the only road in Manchester I've ever heard of) and so we can't turn up on time so we have to forfeit the match. Defeat - yes. Humiliation - yes (but not as horrible as it would otherwise be). We then claim we was robbed. Our morale remains high! Simples!

Were gonna have to park the tram deffo!

Hope they are as wasteful as today, 15 shots only 2 on target in the first half against Sunderland.I don't pretend to know much about smaller sides like Man City, but it that their usual starting 11 they have playing today? Looking to rest them all for Sunday and give the other 200 million pounds worth of talent a run out against us? Should be a doddle for us in that case.........

Hmm, if only we had some forwards, they look pretty vulnerable at the back

City have one striker fit. They will play 5 in midfield. We will play Semedo. Personally cant see city getting further than midfield

They only played their reserves last time.

The only fekkin' problem is that their reserve team would probably win the title in the Championship and with plenty to spare
Wouldn't be far off winning prem either.

I just want it to be over and Championship football to resume. The shocking 2nd half last time really dented the players confidence especially the defence for several weeks.

We were in good form last time we met, got spanked an went on a torrid run.
3 months later were in good form again and low and behold play city again, hoping history doesn't repeat

Now they've caught Chelsea up, I'm hoping they have bigger fish to fry than FAC and Sheff Wed.  We might be up against City reserves.  No money in the cup you see.  I just hope we come out with credit.  I'm going- determined to enjoy it whatever happens.

Bizarrely looking forward to this, considering last time.

Good on them, glad they've kept their sense of humour in amongst all the mismanagement and shit they have had to out up with over the last 15 years or so.

I always liked sheff weds
for some reason, probably because we could identify with them so much. Always loved the away days there (I recall benarbia's 2nd game where he destroyed them particularly fondly from our promotion season)

My favourite was 'We'll win. Our 19th goal of the season will see us put City to the sword', I imagined it in a resigned S. Yorks accent.

I dread to think how big the stomach of the guy in the last photo is in real life, if that's what it looks like at 84%!

Bursant Celina in the squad for tomorrow. Comes from Norway although he is a Kosovar Albanian. Saw a brief video. Looks like a midfielder with an eye for goal.

Love the chap who wanted the team bus to break down on Mancunian Way and for the game to be forfeited. Felt that way a time or two in the old days

Same here mate, deffo a soft spot for the Owls. However, with their goals scored this season, if we give them 2 goals I'll be fucking fuming.

Thank for that.

I like the way everyone is calling lamps our most dangerous player despite him being a regular substitute.

Watch him bag a hatrick now.
