hes failed?? how has our biggest goal scorer from last season failed?? He's had a bad start to this season and so has Ireland. Is there a topic on here saying shall we keep Ireland? No! Why? Because he ain't the flavour of the week boo boy. I'm sure some people are not happy unless he's banging in at least a goal a match and pulling off his tricks which to be fair cost us sometimes. In his last 2 matches he has set up 2 goals and that will do me nicely. People need to get off the guys back and start having faith. You don't lose talent just form and Robbie will get form back under Mancini I'm sure of it. Especially if our last 2 games are anything to go by.

Not true Vhero...I just think people...like me...just want to see a little effort on his part...everyone wants Robbie to succeed...myself included...but I think at the moment he's not even running on 20% of his potential and to be fair it's fucking frustrating

I agree he's not giving 100% mate but he ain't the only 1 out there neither is Ireland this season yet nobody mentioned a fucking word about him have they? That's what pisses me off it's like people picking on 1 player. I honestly blame Hughes for not getting the best out of both of them this season as well as a bit of Injury problems (of course).

Yes the guy is skillful...but skillful like the half time ball jugglers who play fancy keepy uppy

He's just not got what it takes to cut it in the premier league IMO

Seriously folks...can you even remember when he last had a decent game for us?

I can...November 2008 and the chip against Arsenal...can't remember anything else he's done to grab my eye since

Can't understand why some people on here still defend him

Sell for what we paid and get in a world class replacement

I have to disagree on several points IBH.

Up until Xmas '08 he was brilliant then came the rape charge. Under that kind of pressure in foreign country and with a manager who didn't really know how to handle him (that's not a swipe at the former management) it came as no surprise to me to his form drop. Once he was cleared, he looked like he was starting to enjoy his football again and towards the end of last season was getting back to his best. He was outstanding against Everton away and combined really well with Elano and Superman, as I recall.

This season he has been blighted by injury and hasn't looked sharp. To be fair, he didn't look like he wanted to play for Hughes (see Spuds game), but looked like he was trying against Stoke and set up a goal as soon as he came on last night. IF Mancini can convince Robi that this is the place for him and can get him playing to his full potential, then it will certainly be worth it. We have had half a season of brilliance from him and I think we owe it to ourselves to give the guy a chance to recover his form and show us what he can do.

dropping bellamy for him at the moment would be utter madness imo. i dont think its silly to suggest that bellamy is probably one of the most in form players in europe at the mo. i want robinho to come good but the guy doesnt look interested.

On his current form and his general attitude i'd be quite happy to sell him if we get what we have paid for him. He needs to show a dramatic change in his play for me to change my mind.

How about playing Robby and Bellers in the same team? Is that so crazy?

Ive asked this before and only got a condescending reply from RIG but why cant Robinho play on the right?
Is he really just a one trick pony?
He is right footed but plays on the left. Petrov, Bellamy, Tevez even SWP have played on both sides why cant Rob? After all the cross he made for Tevez' second goal was from the right but you dont see him attacking the left back and pinging the ball in from the dead ball line like SWP.

Keep - Overflowing with talent and skill and I'm certain that he's still coming back from Injury - used to take SWP a few games to get back up to speed.

I agree he needs to take a long hard look at himself and see how Shauny handles the knocks and toughen up somewhat, but along with plenty others I'm hopefull Machini is going to be the man to get the best out of him - for a start he aint playing him as a left winger like our previous manager had him ...

As he gets used to playing back into his best position then I'm sure we're goinna see the Special Robson that we all know is in there!

Robbie can realistically play in any attacking position as has been shown when him and Shaun/Bellers/Petrov switch positions. I think Mancio is looking to utilise him many formations and in tactical changes during the match.

Robbie doesn't have to be left out for anyone, and no-one for him!

I'd have said the same for Macken and Bradbury. Sometimes wishful thinking ain't enough.
We'd be lucky to get £18m for him at the moment, so a keep for me, unless he's seen as an unsettling influence.

Have gone for keep as I would like to see what Mancini can get from him. He shows glimpses of what he can do, take last nights precision pass to Tevez. However he hasn't done much to prve he's 32 millin pounds worth of talent this season. Wait and see till Summer.
I haven't a fecking clue what I'm doing! Gillie come back man I want my sig back. As the Photobucket thingy gone?

Mancini has had two games in charge. Let's see what he can do with Robson before you start all this shit flinging. We are all aware of how brilliant Robbie is, so let's get behind him, the boss and the rest of the lads.

To be frank, I'm getting rather fucked off by this constant need to bash our own players.

Last Season Robbi scored a few goals in the EPL playing alongside some pretty averyge players. This season we have invested in some big players. Why doesn't anybody have a go at Adebayor ? Or has everybody forgotten about him, out of sight out of mind ?

I think Ade and RSC need to prove something in a City shirt, before we start picking Robbis game apart.

I think he could do that brilliantly & would be able to produce the meanest cross imaginable but will he do it or just drift back to the left like he did after about 5 minutes on Saturday?

I'd sell him. He's got all the talent but is not consistent, is too lightweight and shows mental weakness by not performing for virtually every away game.

Before Christmas last season, he was very good at home and indifferent away. After Christmas, his performances at home were average at best and away from home save for at Goodison Park, were remarkably poor given the talent he possesses.

This season he has been injured for 3 months, but even when he does play, his apparent lack of committment and effort is worryingly obvious.

If his tricks and skills are not coming off, then you have to be prepared to acknowledge that and put in a shift for the side by tracking back and working hard to get the ball back and then retain possession.

He has a future at City - whether he is a man we should build a team around is a different question. I don't think he is that man though he'll have a big part to play here - he needs to get some fitness and confidence back - he almost scored a pearler the other night at Wolves but was bloody awful against Stoke
