If you score the winning goal you want it to be as good as that and in the 93rd min !

because for me most of my mates are liverpool fans and i will never hear the end of it, they will genuinely believe that they are helping us out to make themselves feel better. you won't believe the delusion i have heard in conversations amongst them over the years, my personal favourites include 'carragher would walk into brazil' and a story about how before he was successful, liverpool fans gave ryan giggs such a torrid time in a reserve game that it was the sole reason he went on to become the player he has. said with total seriousness.

Well we are now 5th so you will just have to tell your daft bastard Scouse friends to look at the table...

He is..... He's going to be singing a Blue Moon duet with Ella Fitzgerald either in february or after the summer.

Well, I'd like to think so.....

Edit:

Btw, it's incredible what these scouse players will do to avoid Benitez's sacking for Hughes eh ?

Yes mate, level with Villa, 2 points behind Spurs with a game in hand.

Fuck it, we're only 10 behind Chelsea with a game in hand...................anything's possible ;-)

They should be, they've still got the dreaded 'O'Neill March Syndrome' to come!

Liverpool were very lucky there...Didn't even look like winning it.

anyway here's what Gerrard thinks

Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard: "That's what football's about, you've got to keep going until the end and I thought we played quite well tonight. Everyone knows that when Fernando's on form he's the best in the world and we want him to carry on like that and get us into the top four."

No way Stevie...... Thats for Villa, just behind united in third with City and Chelsea fighting it out.

Oh well. Here's hoping that Villa fall apart after this one. I'd rather seen them win tonight tbh as I think Pool will be a bigger threat in the long run, but you have to take what you can get, eh?

I don't know how their training works but Torres seems to be constantly coming back from injuries that are not caused by the opposition - rather fitness issues like pulled hamstring etc. Without Torres they are very average (and that's even with Gerrard playing).

Torres at Madrid was the driving force.

Absolutely agree with this. Villa are a long ball, set piece formula team relying on effort & a decent amount of good fortune; Everton Mk II.

Liverpool finished last season playing at a much higher standard than rags or Chelski are doing right now & the only difference between now & then is the loss of one player plus fitness of their stars & confidence. If those things come together they could win every game from now until May. Hope to God they lose one quickly so the confidence doesn't come back.
