Hope the lads enjoy their sunny holiday this week!

Fuck off.

Today Arsenal were good and we were woeful.

No idea what our problem was. I can't understand how a team that can play so well on some days can also play so terribly on others. We got exactly what we deserved today!

Surprised anyone expected anything different to this to be honest. Have we ever looked good without Nasri and Yaya out of the team?

Midfield looks incredibly stale when its basically just left to Silva to do anything. Milner and Navas are runners but that's it.

Knew we were gonna be insipid today and lo and behold we get that dross.

He has to learn to let go of the ball quicker and also to not go looking for it all the time. PL is always gonna be ´pass and move, pass and move. It's not the chess game of the Italian league, that's for sure. I'd honestly say that his holding on to the ball for too long is naive at times, something you expect from someone just starting out and not a seasoned pro.

Not his fault we lost today though, he did what he could and putting him on the pitch helped for the first 10-15 minutes.

"In my career so far it's the most important goal. You score the goal in the last minute to win the title. You're not sure if that's ever going to happen in your career again. I wish I could tell you how I did it but I can't. I thought for all the world that Mario was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."

Another question.

Did Pellegrini agree beforehand we will lose this one*, or why exactly did Sergio start today?

Even a blind man saw how off pace he is and no way he should've started if he's that far away from being fully fit.

*then i understand why he feels it's important to give Sergio minutes to get him up to speed

I m not saying hes guilty i just say two season still not on PL level .Hes not really impress me for a few games in row . And i agree wanna to much of ball and holding to much ball.

It might benefit Aguero when it gets to the Chelsea game. He probably needs some minutes against Boro as well. If we beat the chavs everything will look different of course. Didn't like Fernando's attitude today. Saw him walking back from the half way when we lost possession which I don't like to see from a DM.

Bizarre to read people criticising Jovetic & Navas. Take those two out, & Arsenal could have played Henry at the back.

So we were poor, Arse were better than usual in the sense that they s at in and gave us virtually no space in the last 3rd.

Individually we were not great but maybe not as shite as some passionate folk on here would make out.The big issue going forward was missing Yaya and Nasri that put a massive onus on Silva and Aguero. Because of how Arse played it was very hard for Silva to get into the game and he missed the 2 players who combine so well with him. Then we have Aguero who got little service and because he isn't close to match fit yet was anonymous.

So we look for something from wider areas.Navas had plenty of the ball and loads of crossing chances but just doesn't have much quality when it comes to crossing in tight games with lots of players defending. I know over a season he gets assists but I do wonder how many are in the key games at key times. For certain he didn't get it right today.

On the other side I thought Clichy had a good game and was at it all through. The trouble is he isn't the best crosser or contributor in the attacking 3rd and we missed that again.Fernandinho did quite a lot of good things but too many bad ones but he is so far off a Yaya even at his best. Fernando similarly did some good defensive stuff ( my god he was awful for their 2nd goal) but he offers nothing creatively.

Vinnie sadly was awful in that first half.Rusty maybe but naive as hell at times which is scary. MdM was ok bar some silly moments giving the ball away and Zaba was ok ( bar that moment when he lost Sanchez.)without being great.Joe didn't really do much right. Let 2 goals in , not his fault and parried one soft shot back str8 out and get lucky with it.

well, funny thing is milner is the replacement, isn't he? or frank?

i have to say, i like jimmy, but i wish we had someone better, and we cannot afford to not have more english players.

to me ffp has ruined our chances at getting top talent since the summer of aguero and nasri.

sure missing out on hazard was not related i believe, but it's frustrating.

me thinks jovetic is gone this summer unless he turns out some better performances soon.

I agree that Jovetic did ok and Navas had fuck all to cross to. However, we had zillions of corners and I don't think a single one hit the target. Aguero always needs time to get match sharp and we saw it again today. The minutes today plus against Hamburg and Boro will give him a better chance of showing his best against the chavs. Aguero against Terry? I fancy him to score and boy do we need him to.

Ted we've disagreed about Navas before and probably will again but even you have to admit he was shocking today. Never passed his man or beat the first defender with a cross or corner. Jovetic made the defenders think a bit. Overall the whole team from Hart to Aguero were shocking today. Possible pass marks to Fernandinho.
