If they say, 'no, we did not see the incident' then the FA will ask what they would have done and Michael Oliver will say 'well, obviously we would have dismissed him for violent conduct.' If that happens this morning, the FA will then charge Diego Costa."

This is what Mourinho was working on during the game & even afterwards, not the penalty appeals etc. Everything designed to put pressure on the officials & Phil Dowd helping him cover it up at half time.

Let's see if Oliver has the balls to say he would have taken action.

Sky have just confirmed that if charges are brought and Chelsea appeal, the fast tracked process will ensure the appeal takes place before the game on Saturday.

Also and I didnt know this... Because its the "league Cup" the decision is with the match officials only and nobody else. If this was in the prem or the FA cup then a 3 man panel would be responsible. Therefore, its all down to Oliver, but they still have the Clattenburg effect with them on Saturday.

No Costa and Fabregas would be great.

Not gonna happen though, fuck all will happen to Costa and Fabregas will be injured until 20 minutes before the game and make a miraculous recovery.

Halsey is pointing out that Oliver will have to say that he would have taken action, then there will be punishment.

Mourinho was working on it all the way through the match; the decisions which went against Chelsea, so as to pressurise the officials into not punishing them 'further' imo.

That's mourinho at half time, having a right go. Then Phil Dowd told Mourinho he was on camera, so he sneaked off to the right, out of view. Then a security man pointed up at the camera, clearly showing Mourinho where it was. Then he appeared out of the shadows, walking up the tunnel, & gave Phil Dowd the thumbs up.

he was mithering Dowd constantly 2nd half & even missed the goal by doing so.

I actually think this might happen you know.

The press seem to want it to happen and when that's the case they usually get what they want.

It was against Liverpool.

That makes it a lot more difficult to avoid.

See, this is exactly the kind of bullshit that has no place whatsoever in the modern game. There is no justification for possible manipulation of officials. None.
The FA don't allow managers to talk about referees before a game. Why? Yet they allow managers to walk off down the tunnel with their fucking arm around the ref's shoulder (baconface several times) and shit like this pictured above. AT HALF FUCKING TIME??

Human's influence humans. Humans manipulate humans. I know, because I've got my leg over a few times using this gift.
There are specialists at word suggestion and "mind control" out there. It's very real.

Jose Mourinho is the most manipulative cunt in football management today. I'll ask again, what justification is there for allowing him to talk to the referee at half time?

It's quite simple in my mind when it comes to officials if you are a manager- don't talk about them or to them at all. If you do, you will be instantly fined or sent to the stands for attempted manipulation of an official.

End of fucking story.

That's how it should operated Te... I mean Ronan (apologies - easy gag. Very hard to find any thread without 15 posts from Ted on it anyway!).

However in the real world managers of Mourinho's ilk walk all over the officials any way they can and get away with it. They play pretend mates, go off on them when it suits them and generally get off scot free.

Refs and fourth officials are so scared of managers with Mourinho/Ferguson stature that they dare not take them on otherwise they will be the ones punished, not the manager badgering and abusing them all the time. However different rules apply for other managers, for example if Sean Dyche behaved to Phil Dowd and Oliver in a game the way Mourinho did last night he'd have been sent to the stand and facing an FA charge.

The FA and refs pick their battles and targets. Sad but true. Reputations like Mourinho has built make him immune from the normal rules where contact and conversations with refs during games is concerned.

graham poll just been on talkshite and confirmed what one of the above posters as just said, he also said he knows one of the guys on the panel and if they ask him he will say it was a straight red, also we should here just before 6 oclock. apparantly the criteria is, if chan had been a colleague in blue could he costa avoided the stamp, if yes, then he should have avoided the stamp on chan. fingers crossed.

If he isn't banned, The Count needs to ask questions publicly about what went on with that little half-time confab between the officials and the odious one.

I have been on the Chelsea forums, they are rabid. They believe Costa stamping on someone is a conspiracy against them and half of them believe he is banned so they can further get fucked over by the FA which they believe fervently. The other half believe he won't be banned because he didn't stamp at all, it was "gently treading" and "gravity". Okie dokie. There is a small contingent who think they'll appeal so he can play on the weekend and any fast tracking will be merely because they have it out for Chelsea.

They are in 1st and in one cup final, if they truly believe there is a conspiracy against them, the conspirators must not be doing a very good job.

If the ref looks at the footage he has no option other than a red, i think he will say he would have given him red, at least once, therefore he should and will be banned, the slimey ****

Just noticed this thread. I was there last night. Both stamps were a disgrace. I'm old enough to have seen Peter Osgood playing for us and Costa made me ashamed talking to Liverpool fans afterwards.

It was a really good game with nothing between the teams and his snidey actions could have cost us big time. They probably still will because he will get a ban.
